"Still remember my experience from a couple years ago, trying to renew my passport as a teenager. Verbally abused by the staff due to my mother being unwed at the time of my birth and I’d imagine also because of the color of my skin. This was as I was watching staff members personally handing cups of coffee to the old white men who came to accompany their wives in their affairs. A racist, backwards institution who threatened a child unable to advocate for herself. I wish I had gotten the name of the woman who implied ugly things about my mother. I hope you get what you deserve."

"Super inconsiderate, rude, and not accommodating. Every time I have been here the staff have been nothing but condescending. The first time I went here my parents and I arrived early for their appointment and the man at the desk basically shamed my parents for being inconsiderate of other people. We just wanted to check in but this man went straight to embarrassing us. All he could've done is acknowledge us and nicely tell us to come back later for their appointment. It was humiliating because everyone else in the building could hear him basically insult my parents. It makes me upset that my parents and I have to travel from far away just to get constantly turned down and insulted. I didn't know being snarky and entitled was a requirement to work here. Maybe learn how to speak without a condescending tone."

"I was trying reach out to the consular office for remote notarization. I pressed the correct extension but the phone kept ringing and there is no way to leave a message. This place needs better organization. I had a question about the payment I made for notarization but there is nobody to reach out to. This review is to make the process a better for all the clients. Please fix this system Philippine consulate team. Mabuhay."

"Was there to get my dual, i think it was quick, right on time and organized.. as long as you make an appointment, you'll be fine. The one processed my papers was very nice and very efficient. The only things is the place definitely need an upgrade , they need to spruce it up coz it looks like an old muggy office in the PI. The lobby looks nice but needs to have a lounge or chairs for waiting"

"I came here in NYC to renew my passport. Everyone in the Philippine Consulate General was so accommodating. The greeters are prompt and they gave clear instructions right away. They were also thoughtful and allowed my husband and baby to enter the building as it was about to rain. Their team is made up of kind and helpful Filipino people. The ones working for passport services were as efficient as well. They helped me and made sure I have everything settled before leaving. I am glad I found this place and will most likely recommend to others."
