In France , now , in October 2023 : 3 months !!! Please , French Guys , be NICE to the STAFF of the FRENCH CONSULATE."

"I had not been at the Consulate for many years. I have been very happily surprised of how easy and efficient the process to obtain new passports or cartes d’identité is. I receive emails from the Consulate every now and then and through that became aware that passports appointments were now very easy to book. Our whole family of 5 went for 5 appointments and once there the process was very easy too. The consulate people took care of us right away when we got in, were mostly very kind and we were in and out in 30 minutes. Just go there well prepared with all your paperwork/ passports/ pictures/ livret de famille…, and you will be done in no time. It was so easy we returned the next day with new appointments to obtain a carte d’identité. The hardest part of the process was to find parking"

"The process of booking an appointment and picking up a new passport was really seamless. The staff is very friendly, we had a nice conversation, they were helpful and knowledgeable with visa constraints as well. Very pleasant experience !"

"Wonderful experience I went to the consulate twice in a row this month and I had a great experience and service. On my first visit, I had questions to prepare my second visit that were answered by the passport officer very kindly. She was ultra helpful in both instances of my visits as I am ashamed to admit that I was the pain in the neck person who didn’t have all her paperworks. And she was patient and walked me through how to get her all the missing papers on the spot therefore my passport application could be complete and submitted."

"I booked an appointment and when I came relatively earlier (i think 15 min earlier) I stated my passport was lost and that me and my husband and best friend that is a doctor had not found it anywhere after I had asked them several times already. Because they must be so so busy already…I was asked to again take off of my busy endeavors to get an other appointment by someone that I had seen on unorthodox social media platforms. This same man then proceeded to threaten me to raise his tone if I kept asking why they would refuse me to declare it lost and get the passport I had already paid for and needed for some private reasons. i was continuously asked questions about my status and dates of certain interviews I need the new passport for. When he asked me to contact someone to help me prove that the previous passport was indeed lost I did contract my lawyer and he got scared of her and got aggravated and threatened me that I would not get my passport and forced me to leave. The front desk woman is nice tho and the guards too. To this day I still haven’t been given my passport…"
