"I recently had car trouble while visiting Oneonta and looked up a mechanic to bring the car to for a quick check. I chose Thetford's because of the positive reviews and because they were "open" 24 hours/day. When I called, they were courteous and available so I took my care there. They fixed a minor problem and discovered a much bigger problem that made my car unsafe to drive. Ryan and Brian really took care of me, explained and showed me the issue and made suggestions of what to do to get the car home. The next day I realized it was too risky to make the 3.5 hour drive home so I called and decided to have them flatbed the car all the way home. My daughter and I drove in the cab with Ryan who was not only a true professional but also a pleasant riding companion! I cannot say enough good things about this business and Ryan and Brian who helped me get home safely. Any parents of Oneonta students experiencing car trouble and looking for a local mechanic, look no further!"

Absolutely zero sign of that vehicle ever being in a repair shop - it looked the same before the damage. I was blown away by the quality of the repair. They even offered to deliver the vehicle to me at work; a service I did not expect, but at that time it served as a very nice convenience and made my day easier AND my experience that much better! The owner and staff are friendly and honest. They were booked up solid so I scheduled the work a few weeks in advance. The work was preformed as scheduled and it was worth the wait.
