"I would highly recommend this salon, they are super professional, and I appreciate Rene being super honest about the price, and providing feedback on what would be best for my skin tone, color to enhance my appearance, rather than wash me out. I have previously went to another salon, and they lightened my roots (which I did not want), I wanted a softer look, and the highlights were very grey, platinum blonde, which I wanted a warmer note (caramel), Rene was able to see what was going on, and immediately pulling out swatches and pictures to show me what she meant. I appreciate the attention to detail, and listening to what I had in mind, and her assistant did a phenomenal job washing my hair (smells, and feels soft). Thank you."

"I found this salon after trying several in the area after moving to Bay Ridge over a year ago. I've been coming here for about six months now and cannot be more pleased. I have short (BOB CUT), fine hair and as I age (50's) my hair has taken on a life of its own. Renee is truly a master barber and immediately (within 2 visits) transformed the shape of my hair, improved growth and the overall texture and health of my hair. She listens, advises and remembers what YOU, the client wants. She is professional and passionate about what she does and takes pride in her work. I feel so lucky and fortunate to have found her and her team! Her assistant (I need to ask her name) who washes hair is simply amazing - her technique and style of massage is unique and unlike any head massage I've ever had. I look forward to many more years of supporting Renee and her team!"

"I am not sure how this salon stays in business. Renee is disrespectful, arrogant, dismissive. I used to come to her every 2 months for single process. She would charge me 200$ each time. Which I consider overpriced. She also told me that now since I went red, I cant go back to brown. I stopped coming. I came in today looking for adding style to a cut I had a week ago at another salon. And she was going to charge me 90$ as compared to 30$ she’d charged me in the past. When I brought it up, she said I’d always complained about the cost and thats why she used to charge me low. I find this is a big disparity between 30$ and 90$. She was also quite condescending in her manner of speaking to a person. I left. Will not go back."

"I asked for a walk in wash and blowout. An assistant washed my hair and gave me a shoulder rub, it was pretty good. Rene did my hair and it came out straight with loose curls at the very bottom. Not really what I asked for. It didn’t look like a blowout and the styling was weak, respectfully. It looked very similar to my natural wavy hair style. She also did not use any hairspray or hold spray when I asked about it. I got my hair done about 12 hours ago and the curls have fallen. I tried them out for the first time and did not leave feeling wow-ed. Pricing was fine but for the work done, it could’ve been lesser. Edit: I was a first time walk in on July 13th around 2:40ish pm so maybe that is why you did not get my name but you never asked which is fine still. A friend and I were the only 2 clients there to refresh memory. I paid about $50 before the tip for my hair to be done. Anyways just leaving my honest review. Edit #2: I actually asked you for the hairspray or oil and you said I should add some oil at home and went to the next client. Your reply shows how you think of paying customers. I’m not worried about you uploading a video with no audio and clipped edits you choose but two young women are not likely to tell you that your service didn’t meet our expectations and nobody asked if we were content. I checked my hair in the mirror and I only got stares from the workers but nobody asked if it was a good job. And I’m glad I took pictures because only a few hours after that photo, the hair job looked way weaker than it did in the photo. Overall I wasn’t satisfied at this salon and the way you talk to people who pay you and especially younger women makes the business distasteful. I really did give my honest review and looking at another review of an unsatisfied client, you were in denial with them too. You should take the constructive feedback instead of getting defensive. I also tipped 20% when I didn’t have to if I really wanted to be disrespectful so my review had no ill intent it was just my personal experience with you guys."

"I love Rene and her team! I found this lovely salon through my sister, and I'm so happy to have found a permanent place in the neighborhood! Rene really takes the time to listen to what you want, and is so masterful with texture, and making sure your hair flatters your face. Today she helped me chop off about 6-7 inches of hair, and I left with a bouncy, layered, and textured bob that I LOVE! Thank you so much, Rene! And also a thank you to her wonderful assistant who gave me an incredible scalp massage. I felt like I was at a spa retreat :)"
