"There is no reason why this place should have 4 stars when I seen 3 people complain during my appointment. Complaints of people not getting what they asked for, crooked parts, and inconsistent braids. They need to name the braider who’s actually doing the clients they post pics of, because from what I seen sitting in that chair alll day, it was mediocre. I was here for 10 1/2 hours as the first client. I called their number from tiktok, the owner answered and told me to come at 8. I was the first client. She started sweeping the entire floor from the day before. That took 20 min, during that time 2 more people came in. She told me to sit down put a cape and towel on me and I sat there again waiting. Overall 45 minutes before I’m serviced, That’s okay. I had somewhere to be at 4. I asked the owner how long did it take to do small boho knotless, she said 5 hours. Eventually another stylist came and she assigned her to me. She kept spitting something out of her mouth over my head. All of them talking about everyone in Fulani, and I understood every word. I let it slide. Not a nice group of braiders, very judgmental for them to look the way they dooo. I was there from 8 AM to 6:30. With the sloweessttt braider in the world. Instead of keeping 2 braiders on my head, the owner removed a braider and had her start on someone who had just walked in. They’re nasty, blow dried this girls hair with someone else’s hair in the comb. Bathroom is pissy with no toilet tissue. Bad little kids running through the salon. I would never come to this place again, no respect for anybody and by the look of some of their hair, themselves either. Plenty of braid shops this is a miss!!!! 10 1/2 hours for an African braiding salon is crazy work! REPLY TO MANAGEMENT: You kept me in there for 10 1/2 hours, you asked your husband should you give me money back in Fulani, he said no and you didn’t. Working to resolve my issue how? Because you never reached out to me. Your lying your shop is full of negative irrelevant talk, and the only kids running around belonged to your braiders. The shop is filthy, bathroom is disgusting. I had to go to my stylist to wash my hair so I didn’t get an itchy scalp, no barbicide anywhere using the same combs on everybody."
"I truly wanted to give this braiding salon 5 stars. I went to this salon because of the raving reviews they received. The braiders are nice people, the salon is clean, and your hair would come out nice. However the lady that braided my hair, was new and almost burned me when she dipped my hair in hot water. Throughout the process of her braiding my hair, 2 of her coworkers had to assist her in gripping techniques and kept on checking on her if she was ok or needed help. I knew this because I can comprehend their foreign language they spoke. She took 9 hours to do box braids . I noticed that each braider did at least 2 people within that time frame. More over, it is a good salon but they should really guide and assist new braiders."
"Easy to book. Affordable. Stylist can braid natural and with extensions. Can buy other hair products and additional hair in store. Accessible by multiple busses (B8 is one of them ). Speaks English and French. Barber next door."
