"Disappointing. The cost of the massage was 250% higher than other places in area. The masseuse was not appropriately dressed. She appeared more like a cleaner. She tried very hard but was very disorganized moving from shoulder to butt to elbow within ~7 seconds. I didnโt understand what was happening. Customer service was good. Ambience was also nice and appeared clean. For the price and location, I would not recommend."
"I found Body Care on Google. Their massage cost $170, but when I called I found out that they are running $85 promotion for massage or facial! I ended up purchasing both over the phone for $150 (got a confirmation email) Massage was one of the best and my skin looked amazing after custom facial. Before leaving I got 5 more services including massage, facial and body scrub and I got 6th treatment for free. Recommend!"
"I bought three treatment for laser hair removal on large area for $85 from Groupon. When I booked the appointment in Body and Care Spa website they required to put the Groupon voucher #. So I did it. The appointment date supposed to be on 6/2. On June 1st. the receptionist called to to reconfirm the appointment and told me that there will be a $55 tax apply because tax is charge base on the regular price which I never heard of it, I went to two laser hair removal in other place before and they only charged tax on the Groupon price. So I said why should I pay for the tax I didn't buy for that price, and the receptionist immediately said ok your appointment for tomorrow will be cancelled. Within one minute she sent me a cancellation notice by email. Afterwards I tried to called 6 times with my cellphone she picked up Just the first called and said hold on for a moment then I got hang up after a few minutes waiting. So I tried again to called with my phone at work, the receptionist picked up, when I said my name she immediately put me on hold again and hang up after a few minutes. The most ridiculous thing was my Groupon had been redeemed even before my appointment date! Do not go to this place they are not honest if they don't want to honor the Groupon why participate. She said to me in the beginning of the conversions that: I told you to buy directly from us for the same price as Groupon!""
"This was the absolute worst experience I have had with a business. They are extremely unprofessional and do not know how to work with their clients. I booked a couples massage from Groupon for me and my boyfriend with this establishment. My boyfriend made an appointment and we arrived early, coming from Long Island. As soon as we arrived we were told that the place was overbooked and that we had gotten a call and had not picked up. I would like to point out that it was one phone call, from a random phone number, and no voicemail was left, so they let us come all the way there before telling us that they cannot take us. I was understanding and we rescheduled even though I had gotten out of work for that massage. So the second time we came we were 20 minutes late and we called in advance to warn them, and when we got there we were told that we could not get a massage. We were met with a receptionist who started telling me that "these things happen, we've had clients who pay 300 dollars for a massage and lose the appointment"...meaning it happens often. I asked if we could reschedule because I wouldn't even have been in this position if it weren't for her poor scheduling. She said "oh...well we probably don't have anything that you'll be able to make", this infuriated me because she was not willing to even show me a schedule. Eventually I convinced to her show me any available appointments and took the soonest one that was available for a couple. This appointment was at a completely different location... We arrived at this location and it's a hair salon with some back rooms for massages. It is filthy and we were greeted with a snide remark about being on time. THEN they separated us into two different rooms, proceeding to tell me that it's because their other place has water damage and cannot be used when CLEARLY it was fine on Saturday when the appointment was made. They had told us originally that it would be a couples massage as I had paid for it to be and did not warn us about it being two separate massages in separate rooms which were loud, uncomfortable, and completely not relaxing. Furthermore I professionally addressed their poor business practices and was met with a horrible attitude from both the receptionist and the salon owner. The massage was mediocre at best, my masseuse was very sweet and new to the salon as well. She was the only one who was genuinely apologetic. I would never recommend this place to anyone because I would never expect that a massage could cause me so much stress."
"This past Monday, I had a massage appointment at 4PM. Coming straight from work [JFK], I realized that the traffic will affect my commute time. At 15:45, when I was only two miles from the location, I placed a courtesy call to the front desk to advise that I 'might' run a bit late, but it would be 10 minutes at most. As a matter of fact, I reached the place with less than minutes after 4PM (possibly 7). The lady masseuse 'finished' me at 16:00 sharp, more precise than a Swiss clock. This 'exaggerated' precision for a first-time customer was not - honestly - my main concern. It was the massage I've received. I know that not all massage therapist were "born equal", but at the Body & Care Laser Spa, I was assigned a massage therapist who gave me the most UN-memorable experience. It was not the worst massage ever, but definitely nothing that would make a first customer return for a massage or any other Spa service for that matter. I won't go back."
