Gulf Wilderness Park trailhead

"The trailhead is incorrectly marked. It is down hill from the railroad along the road, not along the rail road tracks. We turned back about a mile into the hike. There's a shanty that looked suspect and that's not the kind of adventure we were on."

"This parking area isn’t as big or nice as the satellite images show. The trailhead is actually down the road a little ways. Be careful entering the trail it is pretty steep and slick. I found the three trails I took to be slick so be careful with your footing. The first bridge is washed out, the second bridge is not but does sway some. It was a nice hike for me and the dog, we had a great time! Oh! Make sure you have bug spray it gets really buggy in there!"

"This is a great hiking trail, some of the trails are moderately hard. Beautiful area. Well marked."

"One of our favorite local hiking trails! Not a large park, or difficult at all, but beautiful and interesting. Our entire family loves going here to walk through the forest (and sometimes the stream too!) Some of the trails can get a bit sloppy after rainfall, but that's to be expected."

"Very scenic nature trail, Amazing for fall time and trails are very well marked to avoid getting lost. Great for Dog walking and Nature Photos. Nice little hiking trail in Lockport, but not really a picnic area."
