Tropical Smoothie Cafe 999 Montauk Highway, Shirley, NY 11967

"I ordered 2 smoothies and a flatbread this afternoon. Had to run a few errands before my wife and I pick up our newborn from the NICU. Figured a smoothie would be quick, easy, tasty and refreshing. When I arrived my order was sitting in a cubby. The smoothies had been out melting since they completed the order. When I picked it up, one had exploded or fallen. It was covered in açaí smoothie. The top was barely on. Both smoothies were melted. I now have to wait for them to refreeze. I have never been to a Tropical Smoothie Cafe that didn’t keep the drinks in a freezer until the customer arrived. The flatbread looked like someone threw all the ingredient into the appropriate sized bread and called it a day. The way it was wrapped caused most of it to fall out. This was not my favorite TSC experience. Not that they’re often great, because they’re not, but they’re also not usually this bad. Update: not only are they melted, but they’re also watery. Both smoothies are watered down and taste disgusting. Glad that I wasted $30 at this location."

"I ordered online and went to pick up my 2 smoothies. I was promised a 12:25 pick up time on the app so I went in & my order was not ready. There were only 2 girls doing orders. Another worker was going in and out of the restroom. I waited another 15 mins before asking where my order was & was told that they did not have it and was asked if it was at the right location. I showed the girl the confirmation. I ended up asking for a refund because I wasn’t going to wait any longer . This ended up making me late for work."

"Went to location first time wasn’t busy yet people in front of us waited at least 5 min after we got there to place order were already in line. Finally place ordered waited 10 min+ for two smoothies then another 15+ for one wrap. Employees seemed to spend more time fooling around in back then working. Heard one girl tell another stop fooling around your gonna mess up. When I got home my greens chicken Caesar wrap wasn’t cut all the way was very sloppy put together hardly had any greens . Was okay but should have been better for price. I will not be returning to this location again the rocky point one us do profession and wrap is plenty stuffed fir what you pay for. Shame one Shirley location not returning there"

"I can’t even give any stats for service because no one helped me. This is the third time I have been to the Shirley location. First time I ordered online and went to pick it up 25 minutes later and I still waited 20 minutes- for a quesadilla and a small smoothie. Second time I waited an extremely long time to be helped but the food was fine. Tonight I went in there and waited 20 minutes and no one even said hello or how can I help you? There was one girl doing door dash orders I guess and the other girl was sweeping the floor. You need to hire more staff. It’s unbelievable that a place would make someone wait 20 minutes and not even say hello when there was no one ahead of me. No one!!"

"Walked in and was greeted by an associate right away. The atmosphere was engaging and pleasant. Wait time was excellent had my order to me in less then 2 mins. My favorite is the Bahama Mama. The white chocolate is to die for. I haven’t tried the wraps but I will next time. I have had the salads and the Thai-peanut salad is amazing. Would definitely recommend to anybody in the Shirley area to go here. So far the best Tropical Smoothie Cafe experience on Long Island."
