"Aw yiss, a genuine cold brew for once (not just iced coffee), long prep that makes even a dark roast feel & taste silky smooth!"
"Hands down one of my favorite spots in the area. They have the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever had, and the croissants are also very good. They make everything fresh on a daily basis and you can taste it. Great cold brew and hot drinks too. The staff is also super friendly. Shout out to Brandon for always having good recommendations and being so personable. Highly recommend."
"Had the honor and pleasure of doing henna for their first Eid Chaand Raat event and the turn out was great! Was lucky to try some of the food and it’s so good! Super excited to return to this beautiful space with amazing staff."
"$5/ croissant Mah-Ze-Dahr was established in 2013 and founder Umber Ahmad opened her first brick-and-mortar location in 2016. Mah-Ze-Dahr is a Pakistani (Urdu) word that reportedly means ‘the magic or essence that makes something special’. Despite its Urdu name, from what I saw Mah-Ze-Dahr mostly follows French bakery tradition and adds some novelties/skews to this base. This is the only location that doesn’t have space for on-site baking so all the baked goods here are delivered from one of their other locations. Baking happens in the morning (as opposed to several times throughout the day) so the baked goods are freshest in the morning. That would be the best time to buy them. The croissant was excellent. It featured all the necessary characteristics that make it —a croissant, a proper one. Nice and buttery the way it should be. Flaky on outside the way it should be. Doughy on inside the way it should be. I was there around 3pm so yeah the only thing it lacked was freshness. And well yeah obviously overpriced… (Every bakery in France makes croissant this well for €1.20 so yeah unfortunately there is no New York artisan baker who will ever convince me that $5 is a sound price for a croissant)."
