"Pastries are consistently disappointing. The coffee is luke warm. Servers are rude despite generous tips. My girlfriend was feeling sick and had to use the bathroom after we finished a "for-here" meal and the employee refused -- we had used the bathroom in the past without any issue. There are plenty of great coffee shops in Chelsea to go to with better vibes and product. walk the extra block"
"The customer services was impeccable. The staff super attentive fast service. Grabbed a matcha latter and sausage roll with ketchup, which was incredible! The crust was super flaky, large size but the chili beef filling was a little underwhelming, the ketchup definitely with taste. Will be coming back to taste another one."
"Wish I had been hungry enough to try more food because what I did have was fantastic. I’m a sucker for almond croissants so I simply had to stop by after seeing it on their menu. Bourke is an Australian bakery with a relaxed atmosphere and tons of baked goods. Now I’ve been to Australia and have never been a fan of the whole hot meat pie thing as I’m from the south so my pies need to be made of fruit. That being said the almond croissant I ordered was out of this world and I was eyeing up the Cacio e Pepe cheese twist but unfortunately didn’t have room for both. I also ordered a chai latte which was super lack luster and tasted more like chai flavored water than anything. Finally they don’t have a bathroom open to the public which is absurd to me and left me searching for a bathroom after leaving. Definitely recommend stopping by just avoid the chai latte and don’t come with a full bladder."
"Honestly I don’t understand people who left 1* reviews… I randomly stopped by because I was craving of some pastry and when I saw the croissants I was shocked! I’ve never seen that huge croissants in NYC. I enjoyed finishing chocolate one. That’s a nice place!"
"Heard about this bakery’s famous sausage so I had to try it since it was close to our hotel. We got there late in the morning (around 10am) and there was only 1 person serving the 2 customers lining up in front of me plus 2 customers who already paid their orders. This person moved super slow and really took his time preparing each order. For a simple to-go order, it took me about 20-30 minutes! - Pork sausage: this was heavy! The sausage inside was huge! It was delicious but a tad too salty for me. The outer pastry was flakey and light. - Chocolate Croissant: good croissant with flakey layers and buttery taste."
