"Very pretty desserts. We had the Chamomile Mango Mousse and it was not too sweet which we liked. Can’t really taste any chamomile but maybe that’s a subtle flavor in general. The cookie at the bottom was delicious too tho!"
"Looks way more delicious than it really tastes… The matcha yuzu chiffon cake was so dry and the mango basque cheesecake…. I’ve never had such bad tasting basque cheesecake and you can only had a little taste of mango in the bottom of the cheesecake …. It feels like it was baked and stored for a while. Don’t waste your money…"
"Sometimes, looks can be deceiving. Like, Patisserie Fouet LOOKS like a gorgeous pastry cafe. Okay, it is that. And Fouet's offerings LOOK creative and tasty, with the usual Asian-inspired flavorings. Unfortunately, the interior doesn't match the exterior. - Shiso Fromage Blanc Mousse: If this is shiso, I'm Indian. There was no discernible shiso flavor in this pastry, not even in the green core which I assume was the shiso center. The mousse was also bland and tasted like generic soft cheese you could find anywhere. As a shiso lover who literally grows shiso at home, I can't tell you how disappointed I was with this pastry. It was like a guy who says he's 6.2" in his dating profile when he's actually 5.2". Sigh. - Chocolate Mint Verrine: Again, I ask: Where was the herb? I couldn't detect any mint flavor in any part of this verrine except for the garnish. Why even bother calling it Chocolate Mint? This pastry wrote a check it couldn't cash. - Sesame Apricot Verrine: Fine, but bland. And not in the delightful, Asian, "not too sweet" way. Just...bland. Also, I usually enjoy sweets with tea, but I'll forego paying $5.50 again for overheated Hojicha that comes from a bag. In a flyover city, Fouet would probably be Mick Jagger. In a city like New York, which is saturated with Asian-inspired patisseries, it's more like Jagger's cousin's cat."
"Great new Japanese-French bakery in Hell’s Kitchen. There have a few gluten free options like the 70% Chocolate Cake."
"Just opened today! The location is so beautiful and right next to Raku! The desserts were delicious we'll definitely come back for the udon next time!"
