Enterprise Rent-A-Car

"I ordered a large SUV at the Enterprise JFK branch, as I have done in the past. This time I left with a negative experience and even substantial damage and a lot of heartache. I was asked by the representative at the counter if I intend to move the vehicle to Canada. I told him that maybe - because we were thinking of dropping by for a visit to Canada. He told me that you can't cross with an SUV to Canada. After thinking about it, I told him that since the particular vehicle I ordered was very important to me, I would forego the visit to Canada. But, he refused to rent me the vehicle that was ordered, saying that he didn't trust me not to cross over to the Canadian side with the vehicle. I was shocked! I told the manager that since he told me there was a problem moving the car to Canada - I simply won't move to Canada. But the manager insisted. He told me: I'm afraid you have to move to Canada, so you won't get an SUV. You can take a small car or a minivan, and if you don't like it, go look for another rental company. I tried to explain again that I had no intention of violating the company's guidelines, but the manager insisted: I don't trust you not to move to Canada, and not to receive the car you ordered. His conduct was extremely arbitrary and included a baseless expression of distrust, which is not in line with the company's values. Without a choice, I took a small car that does not suit my needs, at a very high price (I was reduced a very small amount compared to the amount I was supposed to pay for the original car). I was hurt and damaged, so unfortunately the rating I give is 0."
