"Despite the line at the counter which is expected on a holiday weekend , everything else was great . The shuttle bus employees were pleasant and welcoming . The front desk employee was engaging and gave me advice on whether or not I need a toll past based on where we were staying. She was honest and did not try to add more to our rental agreement. Really appreciated that as I can’t say the same for other rental companies. We got the SUV that we ordered/needed for our family size and was impressed with how clean the car was and that it had minor scratches. Will definitely be a returning customer!"

"Long wait times. Fast break was a joke. They didn’t have any cars ready. Started with one person working and lines out the door. Now there are two people working. Management needs to better staff. Cars were old, high mileage, dented, stinky, and not clean."

"Good morning. My rating is not based on Budget as a whole. It is based on the LAGUARDIA AIRPORT location. I retrieved my reservation from a wooden kiosk and noticed my vehicle was not what I asked for. I wanted an intermediate (Toyota Corolla or similar). I got a Toyota 4Runner. By the way the 4Runner was damaged (I have pictures). I went to the desk to speak with the Fastbreak representative. The location did not have a dedicated Fastbreak line. I had to wait in line with the other customers. 30 minutes later I got to the front of the line only to be told by the gentleman that there are no more cars. When I told him I did not want a full size SUV he told me I was upgraded. I asked to speak to the Fastbreak representative, he pointed to the female attendant and told me she would help me when she had a chance. I was moved to the side while she continued to help other customers. After about six customers she never acknowledged me. I had time to call your national customer service and ask if they could find another location with the car I had asked for. No such luck. It was not until she came to add additional Fastbreak reservations to the kiosk that I was able to get her attention. I explained to her what happened. She was able to get me a Kia that met my original reservation. It took less than 5 minutes. My rating is based on the following: I was given a vehicle I did not asked for and it was damaged. There was not a dedicated Fastbreak line which caused me to wait in line twice for over an hour. The location was dirty and had an unpleasant odor. The men's restroom was out of order. Male and female customers had to use the same restroom. While I was waiting several customers had to return to the desk after they received their vehicles; no key in the vehicle, dashboard lights did not work were some of the reasons. I like Budget. This is why I am taking the time to write this lengthy complaint."

"Original reservation was for a Tesla. Arrived at LGA at 8pm and was pleased that the airport shuttle showed up quickly. The shuttle driver was great. Upon arrival, there was a short line but nothing abnormal. That’s where the good experience ended. I was disappointed that despite the booking, there was no Tesla available. I was offered a large SUV which would sometimes be good but for my trip in NY it wasn’t what I booked for a reason. I ended up with a vehicle that had a low oil life left, as well as an incorrect mileage record upon checkout. The vehicle I was given was dirty as mentioned in other reviews. Overall, a disappointing experience."
