"Review of Avis Car Rental in Lodi and Hackensack, New Jersey I recently had a deeply frustrating experience with Avis car rental locations in Lodi and Hackensack, New Jersey. After a long flight, I reserved a vehicle early in the morning at the Avis Lodi location. Despite being able to book a car online and being assured of its availability, I arrived to find that there were no vehicles available. I waited for 45 minutes, only to be told by customer service that I needed to go to Hackensack to rent a vehicle. This resulted in additional expenses as I had to pay for an Uber from the airport to Lodi and then another Uber to Hackensack. To add to my frustration, the restroom at the Lodi location was out of service, supposedly due to a water issue. When I finally arrived at the Hackensack location, I encountered the same issue – their restroom was also “not working.” After waiting in an uncomfortable, air-conditioner-less waiting area, I couldn’t shake the feeling that both locations were simply lying about the restroom situation to avoid accommodating customers. Overall, the staff at both locations were unprofessional and showed no willingness to go above and beyond for their customers. The service was appalling, and it felt like a deliberate attempt to mislead customers by showing available vehicles online that were not actually present. I strongly recommend against renting from Avis in Lodi or Hackensack, New Jersey. Save yourself the time, money, and aggravation by choosing a more reliable and professional car rental service."

"Avoid this company at all costs. They confirmed my rentals, took my money and that is all they did. All they did was take my money and that is it. Even after I had rentals confirmed and paid for. They refuse to refund me the money they took. They did not give me any rentals even though I had them confirmed and paid for already. And now they are keeping my money too. Avoid this company at all costs. They are thieves who will waste tons of your money just to keep your hard earned money."
