"WARNING! PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! I Stayed at one of the rentals in OTR a few weekends ago with some family from out of town and the whole experience was an absolute nightmare. I paid for the whole visit months before I was suppose to check in and 4 days prior to arrival they inform me that I must pay a 600 dollar deposit or the reservation will be cancelled and I will also not be able to be refunded the money I had already spent on booking the room due to it being past the free cancellation period. So I begrudgingly payed the deposit with the full belief that I will be refunded. Once I finally arrived to the rental I was immediately smacked in the face with the most foul odor, and the property looked like it had not been swept and vacuumed after the last visitors stayed. There were hairs and crumbs all over the floor and furniture and there was toothpaste still stuck in the bowl of the sink. Completely terrible first impression, but I brushed it off. Then later in the evening as my family and I are getting ready for bed, my grandmother finds a cockroach in the bedroom. At this point I try to get ahold of the owners (approximately 730 PM) and they do not respond. The next day we check out of the rental and then tried to communicate with the owners and still did not get a response. A few days pass at this point and I try calling multiple times to get the 600 dollar deposit refunded and I still did not receive a response. Weeks pass at this point and they finally respond to my refund request saying that they had to use half of it to buy a whole new rug due to a very faint stain the size of a quarter that was underneath the couch. I protested this due to it being impossible for us to have left any type of stain because we didn't even have any items in that room that could have left a stain but they would not respond to this. Save yourself the hassle and do not get scammed by these guys! Worst money I've ever spent!"
"It’s unfortunate that a company would go to such lengths to pin an innocent group with their expensive repairs through falsely telling Airbnb that we broke something that was already faulty upon arrival. Now my team has to go through the pain of reporting to Airbnb and fighting to reverse the completely fabricated story our hosts made up about us. The irony in it all is that there is a camera pointing directly at the fire pit they claim we broke, yet they refuse to show video evidence of us breaking anything. Could have been a previous group, could have been the wind, could have been the cleaning crew, could have been the owners maliciously breaking the pit to pin it on us. Who knows? The video camera probably does. I would have recommended this unique stay to others, up until the point at which they put our character under fire and are seeking to make us pay for damages they have no proof of. If you by some chance decide to stay here, you either better be a YouTuber who documents your life or come prepared to take elaborate photos and video to prove your innocence in the event that these hosts decide to make another major update their house on your dime."
"I’m extremely disappointed in our recent stay that was booked under a coworker of mine. Our team has done several trips and retreats and we go out of our way to leave a place better than we left it. The firepit was broken when we got there and we were disappointed. We assumed that you all HAD to know it was broken. Now our group has been blamed for it. We actually took down the things that were left taped to a wall, picked off a used bandaid off the side of the firepit glass, and cleaned up. We left items that we had to buy because you all did not provide, so that the next group would have them. I’m extremely disappointed in the unprofessional way you all handled this. UPDATE: from my own Airbnb account I have messaged this company. They know I am not the same person as Brock but attended with him and others in this group. They said they were looking into the situation and apologized for leaving a negative review of Brock on Airbnb before their “investigation” was complete. They will not give Airbnb the camera footage because it shows we did not damage anything."
"DO NOT STAY HERE. I stayed at their listing in OTR. I immediately felt unsafe with people drinking and loitering outside the apartment. At night they would bang on the windows and blast music. When we notified the owners, they said they are just neighborhood people and they'll come by to shoo them away. My dog found something rotten underneath their couch the first day. when notified, they replied their cleaning people do a "thorough job" and it was my dog's fault. They will also not reply to you for days, and even weeks. I will rate their poorly on every platform I can find. All these 5 star reviews are mostly likely fake accounts."
"I don't like having to discuss these kinds of things in public and I also want to make sure there is some kind of integrity left so all I will say is this was just not a good company. Just do your homework, be sure to take photos prior to settling in for the night. Walk the properties to be sure nothing is unsafe/unsanitary."
