"Be careful of the retinal imaging bait and switch! It was explained to me that I would not need eye dilation if I opted in for retinal imaging. The form was worded like a privacy consent. After the exam I had to shell out 45 bucks because my insurance does not cover it. I had no idea that my optometrist was gone from the practice. Dr. Piersol repeatedly asked me why I chose to come to Shawnee. I said I was a patient at the downtown location. He seemed kind of irritated and asked "Yes, but why did you come HERE?" Turns out he wanted to know why I was at the W. 38th St. location. Odd question. I asked for a copy of my eyeglass prescription but never got it. The whole visit was kind of an odd experience. Edited to add that I reached out as suggested below but never heard back from a manager."
