"I have been going to Dr. Goldman for 20 years - I randomly picked him as my PPCP when I first moved to Pittsburgh and I am so glad I did. I’m writing this review because my friend was looking for a new Doctor and I told her to go to Goldman and she said she looked him up and his ratings were average. There is nothing average about Dr. Goldman. Dr. Goldman is the type of Dr. you would have had back in the day before you were patient “x” in today’s society. He accumulates knowledge about you as a patient and person and gives solid recommendations based on his knowledge of you and your health history. He is matter of fact but kind. His job is to guide you on how to stay healthy or to navigate and correct the health issues you have - if his direct approach is too much then maybe you don’t want to hear the truth. I trust Dr. Goldman with my life and my husband goes to him and feels the same way. If you aren’t taking good care of yourself, you can’t take it personally if he points that out- that’s exactly why you go to a Doctor in the first place. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Goldman 1,000%."
"Dr. Goldman is one of the best doctors I have ever had. I know there's only a couple of reviews, but I don't understand the bad one. Maybe just everybody can't be pleased. I have been going to dr. Goldman for many years as does my father and my mother did before she was deceased. My daughter also goes there. Dr. Goldman is matter-of-fact and honest. If he needs to scold you he will scold you, but he does so because he cares about your health. You rarely have to wait very long for him. he told me once, he doesn't like to wait so he figures other people don't like to wait. Sometimes I would dread my appointment because I haven't been doing the best to take care of my health. But I honestly need to hear what he has to say. I highly recommend this practice. They truly care about your health."
"Went in for a follow up from the ER. The ER doctor advised an Echo because of rapid onset swelling in my husband's legs. Dr.Goldman addressed nothing from the ER visit, declined the Echo, repeated the bloodwork and EKG, and then spent the next 25 minutes fat shaming my husband, telling him such things as "Have you ever seen a fat 80 year old man? Of course not they don't live that long." And "You are going to wind up being one of those people in Walmart in a motorized cart." Instead of addressing the reason why my husband did the follow up in the 1st place, he told him to stop eating bread and potatoes. Doctors like this are the reason that people who are overweight are less likely to visit doctors and get treated for things that could be life threatening. My husband said he felt humiliated. Doctor Goldman offered 0 practical advice and my husband walk out of that office with no explanation for his swelling and no reasonable expectation that he would receive one. What he did walk out of that office with is the knowledge that doctor Goldman can't see past a person's weight."
"Dr. Goldman is the type of person that makes u feel like u have known him all ur life. His staff is excellent, personable, and there to help u with anything."
