"I needed a chimney sweep and rain cap installed on top of the chimney at my home. I asked my real estate agent for a company and she referred this company to me. Unfortunately, the owner of this company took my money but never completed the work. The owner (initials R.L.) of this company spoke to me over the phone, and provided a reasonable quote. We set up a time/day for him to drop by in person to take a look at the home. He seemed nice and knowledgeable in person, and required half of the quote as a deposit to pay for the job. I paid him the deposit and expected him to get the job done the following week. That was the last time I saw him in person. He continually came up with reasons (water leak in his basement, weather is too cold, weather is too hot, too rainy, he got Covid, etc.) explaining why he was not be able to do the job that week or that month. I figured he was too busy, and requested that he return my deposit. However, he provided more excuses and would not return my deposit money. Finally, he stated that he did do the job, when he did not install the rain cap as there was no cap visible. Do yourself a favor and find another reputable chimney company to do your chimney work. Please note that I am writing this review under an alias (my real name is not William). If I can prevent someone else from being scammed like I was, then I am happy to pass on the good karma."
