"I think that care builders is a good agency , and they provide the help that I need day by day... I would like to thank care builders for hiring Stacey Zayac back.. she does everything that she needs to do, without myself telling her what to do"
"TL/DR: Three weeks for 1.5 hours of service with a demanding and unpleasant caregiver. With 98.5+ hours of my allocated time wasted. UPDATE: Shortly after I wrote my initial review, I was contacted by the agency Director. He said he has been unaware of my experience and asked me to give him till Monday to find out what was going on. I agreed and on Monday I was contacted and told that a caregiver would be coming the next day with the director. I was told that the caregiver would be here at 4pm to 6pm but was assured that was only on Tuesday. She arrived on time and the Director came as well. He seemed pleasant, she not so much. They spent about an hour going over her information and setting her up with their app. She discussed her stipulations, a vacation she was going to be taking, how she only wanted to do cleaning, etc. After he left, she did some cleaning in the living room and then prepared to leave about 20 to six. My service coordinator called the agency to see if they were planning on providing other caregivers to cover all of the hours they had claimed (50+) but was told that I had been assigned one and that she was the only one, and scheduled for 2 hours a day, three days a week. Six hours a week is a lot less that the 50+ that I had been allocated. Today she showed up, and after some trouble using the app, she stared. From the beginning, she complained multiple times about how disgusting everything was, and though I generally try to not become emotional, I did break down, apologizing for the state of things in my apartment and I tried to explain the difficulty I had in maintaining it by myself. I told her that I would do most of it and that she only needed to red up the living room. She took a shopping cart with come cardboard boxes in it that was in my living room down to the dumpster. When she came back, she said she was too hot and needed to cool down. So, she left the apartment for half an hour. I'm not sure where she went, but I doubt it was cooler than standing in front of the fan as she had been in my apartment. When she came back, she continued to complain and then said again that it was too hot, so she was leaving. She then said that she should probably log off the app and started reading off the task list of things she was supposed to do. I told her that if she was going to quit, that it was ok, but that she shouldn't mark those tasks down as completed because she hadn't done any of them. Then she quit, after maybe half an hour of doing anything at all. As I'm sure you can tell after reading this review, I had a less than positive experience with this agency. ---------------------- Two weeks ago, this company took all, 50= hours of care allocated to me. During that time, they have never contacted me, nor have they returned emails sent by my service coordinator. Only once, after a week had passed, and after repeated phone calls and unanswered voicemails, was I able to speak to someone. She sent me a link to digitally sign documents. Then nothing for another week. I cannot understand why a company would claim all of my hours, only to never even attempt to contact me. They certainly did not have a caregiver ready to work, nor apparently the ability to find one after two weeks. Since they had claimed the hours, no other agency would be able to, so that's been two weeks just wasted."
"Although I have only been at Carebuilders at Home for a month, I really enjoy working in the Pittsburgh office. My co-workers are great to work with and go above and beyond to meet the clients and caregivers needs."
"Care builders is a great place to work. Great for a career or a second job, You can have very flexible hours and work days to fit with most any kind of life style There are other home care agencies that might pay a little more.. But I'll bet none of them have the flexibility and no pressure work atmosphere that care builders at home offers to employees Truly glad I found care builders at home!"
"I have been employed with CareBuilders @ Home since October 13 2018, I have always had an amazing experience with this company. I have worked in many different fields from sales and marketing to cooking in restaurants as well as the construction industry and never have I truly enjoyed doing what I am doing now. My supervisor's are always willing to assist me in any way necessary for me to grow. Since I started working with CareBuilders I have been able to purchase the car of my dreams (2014 Dodge Charger sxt) and my credit has improved so much that we are looking to buy a home for the first time. I want to say thank you for the opportunity and all the help you have given me. Samuel"
