"Our home came with a Doyle system which we activated with a promo mailer we received to activate an existing system for free for 3 months. The system works as it should and the staff are quite friendly, professional, experienced, and helpful, especially Matt and Dale. I've only had a working system for 2 days but so far no issues with it. I'm happy to be supporting a regional company and the monthly rate for my system ($27/mo) is reasonable. My main reason for docking a star is I had to do follow ups several times throughout the activation process. The first time I submitted the form for the promo (scan a QR code, fill out form, someone is supposed to call me), no one reached out, so after a week or two, I filled it out again and someone called within 48 hours kindly apologizing and saying they never saw the first form come through. The second need for a follow up was after signing the contract. The rep who first came to visit (Matt - I believe he's a manager) said we would be contacted after signing the contract to schedule a tech to come and activate the system. I signed the contract 1 week before Christmas and thought maybe the holidays were delaying them scheduling tech visits but it was 2+ weeks and I still hadn't heard anything, so I emailed the rep that emailed me the contract. He responded same-day and apologized saying he didn't know why no one had gotten in touch with me, and quickly got me scheduled for a tech to come out the following week. Lastly, the day after installation, I got my first bill (which seems to be in 3-month increments) and the free three months wasn't applied. Again, emailed the rep I'd been working with and a quick same-day email was apologetic and applied the promotional credit. So the system itself is working well so far, but it feels like maybe some of the back-end pieces are manually done (higher likelihood of human error). Hopefully now that it's set up, things will be smoother."
