"—-updated review down below after moving out! Still 5 stars—- It’s been a first month since our move-in on August. Excellent housing with amazing amenities. Staffs are all welcoming and professional. Janay has been a wonderful manager that kept all the move-in and settling process smooth and professional. I’ll try to review after the lease is over and recap about this place. But really satisfied with this place so far. ——- So we moved out this May, after ~ year lease. One thing that changed was the management team, so had a little bit of communication issues around time of moving out. But Nicole, a manager helped us to go through the process and handled it like a pro. We really appreciate the efforts!"
"Whether it's the front door, elevators, garage doors, or something more fundamental (electricity, water, etc.) you can expect ongoing maintenance problems 24/7, 365 days a year here. It seems like they go through a new property manager every few months, although you wouldn't know that unless you pay close attention to the poorly written emails that they occasionally circulate. In the rare event that "contractors" are brought onsite to repair the constantly broken elevators, doors, etc., you'll need to break out the earplugs. They will run up and down each hallway, making sure to bang metal objects as loudly as possible outside of each resident's door for no discernable reason. Hopefully you don't have to work from home! It's really a shame this place is so poorly managed. The location is great. The owner needs to fire management ASAP and find some competent people."
"After hitting up multiple spots to tour in Pittsburgh, The Albion stood out as one of the brightest gems in the city! The location and cool amenities, especially that indoor/outdoor pool having me thinking I found the good life. But what really sold us was the leasing lady Janay's energy when talking about the community and the building's activities. She totally nailed the vibe of the building and surrounding community with her personality! She is seriously the best and one of the reasons I am serious in considering making the Albion my next home!!!"
"HIGHLY recommend living here. The staff here really go above and beyond to make this apartment a friendly community. Full explanation below. Location: 5/5. Coffee/breakfast, healthy lunch, and vet clinic right across the street. Short walk to Walnut street with several shops and restaurants. Short walk to two grocery stores. Complex amenities: 5/5. Pool and hot tub with year-round access; gym; sauna; dog park; outdoor fenced-in gathering area with grill, lounge chairs, and fire pit; club room with kitchen that can be booked for private gatherings. Everything is kept clean and looks nice at all times. Community: 5/5. Janay and Dani really go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome and introduce people who are new to the area to each other. They host events in the clubroom and outdoor area to help bring residents together, offer fun rewards, and give representation to local small businesses. Maintenance team: 5/5. Forever thankful to Levi for helping me park a U-Haul when I first moved here. The team is super nice and helpful. They're quick to respond and to act with any questions or concerns. Sound barrier: 4/5. Overall, I am really happy with the volume levels when inside my apartment. I never hear anything from my neighbors on either side or above me. There is less of a barrier to noise in the hallway and outside the apartment. When I first moved here from a small town, the outside noise took some time to get used to, but it generally doesn't bother me now despite my back door facing a diner that is open 7 days per week. Apartment amenities: 5/5. I am obsessed with my kitchen sink. It's huge. A whole human could fit in there. It makes me hate doing the dishes less and that's saying something. Appliances are newer, work well, and are clean. My washer has attempted to eat a few things, but it's typically due to me trying to stuff too much in there. Size and cost: 4/5. I am a bit biased on this one as I came from a small town where apartments were double the size for half the cost. Overall though, the cost is reasonable for the location, amenities, and ample storage space in the apartments. Pittsburgh in general is just much more costly than I am accustomed to. The only thing I dislike (minor) about my apartment is the plumbing for both the toilet and the sinks. Other than that, I definitely think the staff would benefit from hiring another person to help out with the massive amount of stuff they do for all of us. Thank you Albion for such a great experience!"
"What a feeling! I feel home absolutely. It feels safe and elite here. Thanks to gym and indoor/outdoor pool I always have a reason to do "me time" :). People who support us from the registration office are always with a smiling face so I have not experienced anything negative! I def recommend it! :)"
