"This hotel far exceeded my expectations and I really enjoyed my stay. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because there was a large stain on the couch in my room, which is never nice to see, and you have to pay for parking which seems largely unnecessary. Breakfast was awesome in terms of selection, but I went a half hour before breakfast ends and the oatmeal and “hot” water for tea were lukewarm. Everything else was great, though."
"Horrible horrible hotel, turned me off of staying at a Hyatt Place ever again. First we checked in, no issue, but when we got to the room it wasn't the type we booked. No problem, maybe they made a mistake. We go down to the front desk and kindly inform the staff. We were then rudely told the type of room we booked was unavailable because they were all occupied, and that we could only have this room. It was a cheaper room type with no microwave. Ok, that sucks, especially since we booked that room months in advance specifically because we needed a microwave, but at least they would refund the difference because we booked a more expensive room right? Wrong. We were flatly denied any type of price adjustment, and were forced to pay an inflated rate for the room we ended up getting. Oh and there's no housekeeping unless you're a diamond platinum member or something. It's a 3 star hotel, why are we treating paying guests differently based on a membership when we all pay the same rate? Seriously. We ran out of towels 2 days in and whoever brought up towels left our room door wide open for us to come back to hours later. We were absolutely shocked when we got back. We were so fortunate that nothing was stolen that we noticed. At checkout we asked if given everything that happened there could be some sort of compensation, but the lady basically spat that "It didn't seem like you had any complaints until checkout and now you're trying to get compensated" with a horrible attitude and expression. Even though we had communicated from the time we first checked in. We were given the wrong (cheaper) room with less amenities, our room door was left open, and were denied any housekeeping for a 3 night stay. We explained all of this and she just glared at us and said NO. Even after going through customer service they stuck to their guns and wouldn't give any compensation for any of the issues we faced. At least we should be refunded the difference for the room type, regardless of any bad experiences. We didn't get what we paid for. I will never give this chain any of my hard earned money ever again. If you're not a diamond platinum supreme member, I'd steer clear because they will treat you like trash. Even if you are, prepare for horrible attitudes all around, they treat their guests like you're trying to scam them at every interaction, and are unwilling to take any responsibility when they mess up. 0/5 Hotel."
"Tub did not drain and had to be moved to another room. Only one person working which caused the "restaurant" to be shut down. She explained that only 1 person was scheduled to work that night and they ended up being full. We had to take our small child out to eat instead. We selected this location because it directly pointed out a RESTAURANT ON SITE on the website. Even though the front desk clerk had to run the ENTIRE building herself.. she held it down all while helping me get settled into the new room after the tub issue. Which sucks bc technically.. the front desk wasn't being watched because she had to deal with my issue smh this left everyone in the building without that extra layer of "front door security". Beds were great, indoor pool was okay and right for the price. Breakfast was delicious and hit the spot but I wish I could give more stars. The stars you do get are from the desk clerk who was so sweet, helpful, knowledgeable, and was ready to take on her shift by being the front desk clerk and bartender. She was so helpful and busy that she states "I'm sorry. It's only me here. I had to close the restaurant". I felt so bad for her but she took care of all my issues quickly and with a smile. We ended up going to Applebee's across the street to eat"
"Dismally failed expectations! On-site staff were welcoming and accommodating until requests for reunion amenities--that had here-to-fore been extended to our family for over 10 years--were denied or monetized. During those prior 10+ years, the management expressed appreciation for our annual Thanksgiving weekend reservation of 10-15 rooms for 2-3 day by comping us the use of their conference room (CR) for the duration of our stay. We, in turn, left the CR thoroughly cleaned, vacuumed, reset, and cleared of all trash (bagged and transferred to outside bins) before leaving for our various home destinations. Also included in the cost of our rooms, was ample hotel parking and use of the conference room television technology which we particularly appreciated during the pandemic. This year, we received advance notice of a new $100/day charge for the conference room and a $9/day/vehicle parking fee which was off-putting, but acceptable to the family. Upon arrival to the hotel, the front desk advised us that the charge for the conference room--including fees--would be $120/day and that we were specifically authorized to use the CF on Thanksgiving from 5-12 PM and on Friday from 8 AM-12PM. We accepted this clarification... On Thanksgiving, the family gathered in the CR and prepared to ZOOM with off-site family members. When we asked the front desk for the remote control for the television, we were told that there would be an additional technology charge of $150. We rejected this clarification and chose an alternate form of communication... This year's Hyatt experience became unrecognizable as the welcoming hotel that had previously been our Thanksgiving home for over a decade The Hyatt Place, Robinson's management of our account expressed a clear depreciation for our business and for the extent and longevity of our relationship. Our Thanksgiving reunions will continue,...just not here."
"After staying at this hotel for every Thanksgiving holiday for the past 12 years, it is unfortunate that this past Thanksgiving holiday will be our last as a family. For 12 years we have reserved 10-15 rooms for our family for at least 2-3 consecutive nights. In years past, as a courtesy for reserving so many rooms, the hotel management allowed us to utilize their meeting room for the duration of our stay at no cost. It is my understanding that management may have changed recently, and it shows. We made our annual reservations for this year and were informed that we would no longer be extended the courtesy of the meeting room for free. We had to pay $360 for the meeting room in addition to all of the room reservations. In addition to paying for the room, they requested that we pay $150 to have access to the room's television and remote. And as if that wasn't enough, parking is now $9/day which is a new fee as well. And in my opinion is the fee that really shows the lack of accommodations this hotel makes for their guests, because where else are you supposed to park other than their parking lot? They know this and saw an opportunity to take advantage of their guests. We have 35 family members and we kept coming back to the Hyatt for so many years, because of the accommodations and hospitality extended to us previously. Our family will now be finding a new location to gather going forward. It's very disheartening to see an establishment that you have been so loyal to for YEARS decide that loyalty is not valuable to them."
