Ingrid Libman, MD, PhD, is a distinguished pediatric endocrinologist certified in pediatric endocrinology by the American Board of Pediatrics. She serves as the Director of the Diabetes Program at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and holds the position of Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

Dr. Libman earned her medical degree from the University of Rosario Medical School in Rosario, Argentina, and her PhD from the Graduate School of Public Health at the University of Pittsburgh. She completed her residency and fellowship at UPMC Children’s Hospital. Her clinical focus includes the prediction, prevention, and management of diabetes mellitus in children and adolescents.

Dr. Libman is an accomplished researcher and has authored or co-authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals. She has presented her work extensively on both national and international stages. She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Diabetes Association (where she is a past chair of the Diabetes in Youth Interest Group), the International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (current member of the ISPAD Advisory Council), and the Pediatric Endocrine Society.

In her personal time, Dr. Libman enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
