Sojourner House
About the Business
Sojourner House is dedicated to offering compassionate, faith-based recovery services to mothers and their children. We provide in-patient, residential treatment for addicted mothers and their children for up to six months, helping families take significant steps towards a better life.
Our services extend through Sojourner House MOMS, which offers permanent housing and supportive services for individuals in recovery and their dependent children. The Sojourner House MOMS Supportive Housing Program further supports families in recovery by providing housing and comprehensive support, ensuring they can confidently transition into the community.
We are proud of our efforts to assist mothers in making major positive changes in their lives and the lives of their families. Our work is made possible through the compassion and generosity of donors like you. Whether you contribute physical items from our wish list or make a monetary donation online, your gift will significantly impact our mission and goals.

"There are only 1 or 2 people who actually care enough to help everyone. I was admitted to sojourner house on March 5th 2024 I left after 60 days of being stolen from and lied to by the staff. I had nearly $800 in cash go missing upon my intake date. They took my lottery cards and Vapes totalling at nearly $300; I was told everything was going to be given back up on my discharge and that was a complete and total lie. What wasn't rooted through by any staff there, was either broken or stolen I'm dedicated to exposing this to anyone I come across and I have a vast network. I've been told to" let it go" and "it's gone" What kind of place steals from the most vulnerable population? Through hard work I've remained sober but I refuse to credit this place for that."
"Sojourner House offers a unique healing expe for women in addition in that it United and often reunified women in recovery with their child or children and their families. There aren't many organizations that permit women to live with their children in their own apartments while participating in individual, group, and family therapy. There are three levels of care offered for women and children in need to regain lost independence in secure environments. Hopefully more similar-based programs will be established both at the state and national level so that women do not need to be separated from their children while recovering, as is often the case. Allowing a family to recovery together is a unique and needed experience as.addixiron continues to plague our nation. As is with everything, it is what one makes of a situation that will shape their perception.yet I encourage women in need to seek information about Sojourner that are in need. One phone call.and or one inquiry can be life-changing. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"
"It was 2000, I was pregnant and had 3 other children from my estranged marriage. They accepted me into the program at Sojourner House, and showed how to live. A warm loving strict program. My life was changed. I am clean and sober, blessed and forgiven. Thank you, Susan Jageman"
"Blind Leading the Blind This USED to be PGH's best family treatment facility. However it's a 100% new treatment team without even one member in recovery themselves. What once was a safe place where women with kids could start to heal & build a foundation for recovery- Now only focuses on paperwork & program fees(yes clients pay rent). For 23 years it was run by women in recovery. Therapists with more than 28years in recovery once walked the halls of SoHo- ready to feed your spirit with experience, strength& hope. Today that incomparable wisdom is belittled by therapists who have yet to fully buy into the process. Who couldn't tell you what our primary purpose is. Therapists who have absolutely Zero experience in the field, yet find themselves fit for this battle. Ignorance that will unfortunately cost women their lives. What this facility once was, is in it's past. History that will remain in the hearts of 1000s of alumni. To the OGs of SoHo; You are painfully missed but Never Forgotten!"
