West Penn Park is more than just a park; it's a hub for citywide events, neighborhood festivals, and year-round recreational activities that significantly enhance the quality of life for Pittsburgh's residents. Our park is maintained by the dedicated efforts of the Department of Public Works and Citiparks, who collectively oversee nearly 3,800 acres of parkland across 163 parks in the city.

The Allegheny Regional Asset District (RAD) plays a crucial role in supporting our parks. Over nearly 28 years, RAD has invested over $150 million in operating and capital grants to ensure our regional parks are safe and vibrant places for community gatherings, exploration, and inspiration.

The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, established in December 1996, is another invaluable partner in our mission. This non-profit organization collaborates with the City of Pittsburgh to restore and enhance our park system. With over $130 million raised and more than 22 major park improvement projects completed, the Conservancy's efforts have transformed our parks, benefiting thousands of volunteers and providing programming for over 7,500 children annually.
