"My son tore his ACL during his hockey season and was lucky enough to see Dr. Akhavan. From our first appointment to our last, he was upbeat, attentive and thoroughly explained everything and he always allowed for questions. He made a point of always addressing my son before us (parents) and let my son fully participate in discussing decisions regarding his treatment which, for a 17 year old almost ready to leave the nest, was a big deal. Dr. Akhavan really helped keep my son positive and working towards his recovery goals. The mental recovery for a season-ending injury is just as vital as the physical and Dr. Akhavan's support and encouragement really helped keep my son's spirits up. My son had a very rough time the day after surgery as his nerve-blocker abruptly stopped instead of gradually wearing off. The pain medicine was not strong enough to curb the instant, extreme and relentless pain and my son was really suffering. One phone call and Dr. Akhavan immediately had him come to his office to see him to make sure everything was okay at the surgery sight and to discuss options of how to manage the intense pain. He even called us that night on his way home to make sure our son was doing better and to reassure us that we will all survive the rough patch. We did and my son recently returned to the ice 6 months after his surgery thanks to Dr. Akhavan and the rehab program he put together. I cannot say enough about Dr. Akhavan and his staff. Questions were answered immediately even when we sent them via mychart, appointments were made to accommodate my son's school schedule and every visit was full of positivity and encouragement. If you have to have ACL surgery, you couldn't get a better surgeon than Dr. Akhavan."

"Phenomenal experience! After over ten surgeries in my life Dr Akhavan takes my top listing. Dr Akhavans bedside manor is on point,carring, ever listening, and enthusiastic! His personal assistant Katie, is also just that! She takes a personal care into each patient personally! The teams superior care leads to the best ive ever know. My surgery .... tear in my rotator cuff. During surgery 4 more issue were found that he corrected. The scars are gone in 2 months!
