Reviews
"I called someone answer then hung up in the middle of me trying to ask a question. I would not suggest."
"Unfortunately, I am not able to give Kiddie Couture a positive review. We had my daughter's 9th birthday party there on May 8, 2021. The owners rent out a salon if you don't want to host the party in your home. The salon was a small hair salon and not set up to do manicures and pedicures. The girls in our party felt pressured by the owners to do their signature nail look instead of a style that suited each girl. For the pedicure, the same water bucket was used for three girls in a row before the water was changed! The poor third girl had to put her feet in water that was now lukewarm and had already had two other girls feet soaking in it! It was advertised as a manicure and pedicure but I'd really call it a hand and foot soak and then nail painting. I also paid for a package that included makeup application and skincare education for each child. Aside from telling some of the girls to wash their face each night, there was no skincare. When I inquired about that, the owner said the girls were young and had perfect skin and that package was meant for older girls. However, when I was setting up the party and asked if that package could be done for a nine year old, I was told yes. Aside from the sanitary issues, we did not feel very comfortable in the salon. Since, they rent the salon, they were rightly concerned about the salon equipment. I understand that but it made for a stressful experience trying to keep nine girls with nothing else to do from spinning on salon chairs. They also have the unfortunate location of renting next to an actual kids spa. It is my fault for not booking my daughter's party at the actual spa but we wanted makeup application and the other spa doesn't offer that. However, when I pointed out that it is unfortunate to have guests walk up to the Kiddie Couture building which is nothing but a small hair salon with a fun, colorful and inviting spa next door, the owners said they couldn't help that I booked with them. I understand that point. However, if it were my business, since they only rent out a salon as needed I would have looked for a new place to rent when a flashier business with the same clientele moved in next door. There were no large garbage cans available so after drinks and cakes my husband ended up taking our trash outside to the garbage can of a nearby restaurant. I wish I had know to bring activities to keep the girls occupied while two girls were getting serviced at a time. The girls were bored and when they tried to invent games or things to do, it was often in the way of the workers or on the salon equipment. I did reach out to Kiddie Couture before posting this review. They responded they were sorry that I did not enjoy my experience. They didn't offer any way to remedy the situation. They reiterated that the services are for entertainment only. Unfortunately, my daughter and her friends were not entertained and I truly feel like I spent $372 to have 9 girls get their fingers and toes painted and to have lipstick and eyeshadow applied. I am not a person that complains about local businesses, especially woman owned small businesses but for the price we paid for our party, we were extremely disappointed and I did try to give them the opportunity to privately address this but now I feel compelled to warn other families before they spend their hard earned money."
