History:

The Down Syndrome Center of Western PA was established in 1989 by a group of parents seeking expert care for their children with Down syndrome. This parent organization has evolved into the Down Syndrome Association of Pittsburgh, which continues to support our center’s initiatives.

Research and Clinical Studies:

As a nationally recognized research center, we are actively involved in the latest clinical studies aimed at enhancing the medical understanding of Down syndrome. These studies involve human volunteers and contribute significantly to ongoing research.

Patients enrolled in managed care insurance plans may require authorization from their insurance provider and primary care physician.
