"Update to my initial review** beware & make sure you look carefully @ your explanation of benefits from your insurance. Shame on you Dr. Kimmel did you not think I would notice a charge 626 of which I’m responsible for 321.28 for “manipulation”. You did not manipulate or reduce anything. I wish I could give negative stars at this point. Nice man but he Told me I needed surgery for an unstable ankle fracture then was going to leave an ortho glass splint on me for almost a week that did not support or protect my fracture. When I told him not to leave the ortho glass on he then put me in a boot that again did nothing to support or protect my fracture. He then scheduled surgery without approval from my insurance company which resulted in a phone call from financial advocacy @ CCF. He did not do a stress X-ray to verify my fracture was in fact unstable. I did receive a stress X-ray when I received a 2nd opinion which showed a stable fracture that did not require surgery. Surgery was an option not a necessity. I would not recommend him for a complex ankle fracture."

"Dr. Kimmel was able to offer a repair procedure to me that no one else would for a horrible previous first metatarsal bunion repair, which had resulted in arthritic overgrowth of the joint and constant pain/swelling. Dr. Kimmel and his staff were able to explain everything they were going to do the day of surgery. I felt at ease and more relaxed over facing anesthesia, surgery and ultimately a lot of pain afterward. I am still recovering, but hope the result is excellent and that I won't have the pain and other symptoms I had been living with previously. Dr. Kimmel is very personable, informative and instilled a great deal of trust for me to agree to the procedure. I am so glad I took care of this and highly recommend Dr. Kimmel to anyone else requiring this type of joint replacement. procedure."
