"My father passed away and I did not have the money to get his death certificate I called the Hermitage VFW and they did not seem to care but then again they do not seem to ever want to help anyone. The few times I did call them for help for my dad, it would take hours or days for them to get back in touch to just say sorry, we can't help. Now, Teresa at the Sharon VFW went above and beyond to help me get my dad's death certificate. She is still helping me with things related to his death that I do not know how to do. Thank you guys very much for all your help and kindness."

"It has been a while since we last dined here. Not because we had any problem with the VFW, it was entirely due to not taking the opportunity. My wife and I were enjoying the community park across the road and I asked her if she'd like to have lunch at the VFW, which we did. We both enjoyed our selections. They were very tasty and filling. I asked about joining but I didn't have the proper documents with me to join as a veteran. I know that they also accept social (non former military) members. The facilities are fabulous! A great organization supporting those who served in the armed forces of the United States."
