"Not very impressed. I bought a used John Deere lawn tractor for my son, I was told it was "serviced" before it was offered for sale. "Inspected, greased, gas and ready to go". Turns out the mower deck was way out of adjustment from side to side, the front adjusting rod fell off and dug down into the dirt stopping the mower dead. We'll get it repaired, but it won't be at Gerlach's."
"Our snowblower won't start before the winter. So we called them about the problems, they said they could pivk the snowblower with fees.Paid them to pick up snowblower to check why the snowblower won't start. After they check it, told us maybe carburetor needs to be replaced, it may take 2-3 weeks because they are busy. So we said okay and agree the estimated cost over $ 200.00. They called us 3 days later, said snowblower is fixed. They brought back to us after we paid nearly $ 290.00 dollars. It worked for the winter, following year before the winter, we wanted to get it ready for winter, tried to start the snowblower, it won't start. Here found out they didn't replace the new carburetor like they said to us. The Gerlach's power equipment store can not be trusted. I would not recommend to anyone at all."
"Bought a lawnmower from Gerlach’s power equipment last summer. Immediately had problems with it. Deck belt broke the day after they brought it. They did fix it for us. This year, we have another deck belt broken so I called them to see what it would cost to have it changed. They tell me pick up and drop off with The changes $75. I assume that they’re low pricing because we bought the equipment from them. Turns out it’s going to cost us hundreds of dollars and they were not transparent with the pricing. Not worth what they charged us. As soon as they bring it back, another part breaks on the machine. It is clear that the teeth on the steering mechanism had been bent back. We’re assuming this is something from overtime. But the key is this. If you buy equipment from Gerlach’s they no way guarantee the repair or certify the quality of the machinery. They are not rebuilding any of their used units that they sell and they’re pretty high priced for their repairs. When We buy more equipment and choose to go used, we are going to be buying private sellers because there’s really no benefit to using this business. Lacks ethics."
"If you want to know why brick and motor are failing, just go to Gerlachs. I broke my belt on my graverly and had to replace ASAP, going out of town next day. The guy behind the counter was giving my attitude foe not knowing my specific models number. I told him it's a gravely 42inch ztx purchased from them. Then he complained about the 10sec search to find my numbers on there computer. Took him 15min to find belt. Then charge me $75. The gravely webs site msrp is $60. But in a pinch I need it. So I payed up. Then he gave me the part number. So I can just order online next time...."
"Doesn’t answer calls, sold generator doesn’t want to do anything else, called CSH Electrical Contracting and they reinstalled correctly and take care of it yearly now."
