"I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and finally ordered from Doordash. The chicken served with the chicken mofongo was so overcooked and hard that it was inedible. It's sad because the flavor on the mofongo was actually good, but there's no way this chicken should have left the kitchen like this. It tasted old and was brick hard. This was a total waste of money and has soured my view of the restaurant."
"I had originally got some sweetgreen to go but I noticed this restaurant and was in the mood for some tostones. I sat at the bar and ordered. The food came out fairly quickly. The tostones and pastellios were really good. The fried pork was very fatty and greasy and not well seasoned but the dipping sauces kind of helped. I feel like there could've been more tostones to go with the appetizer. The alphafores were ok, it was very hard and not much filling inside and if you like coconut, I guess it's ok. They were a good size but were made too hard and not as traditionally soft and melt in your mouth as I've had in the past. I'd come back to try other things. They had a plantain stuffed with salt fish that looked really good."
"Come and enjoy authentic puertorican food. In the heart of DC!! Quaint restaurant with great music and atmosphere. Quesitos, Carne Guisada, Mofongo and Shrimp are my recommendations."
"Friendly staff. Menu and order through QR code. Food wait was very brief, yet food was fresh. All the food was delicious and tasted authentic. We ordered biftec encebollao with white rice and beans, arroz con gandules, mofongo with fried pork, cappuccino, empanada with beef, guava pastries, and mantecaditos. Everything was excellent and the place was not crowded we arrived 4:50pm."
"AMAZING service and food! We have never tried Puerto Rican food before so this was our first time and it definitely did not disappoint! Everything we tried was 1000/10 and the staff were so so nice. We will definitely be coming back!"
