Reviews
"This is one of my favorite cafes in the US! We got the latte and a baklava croissant and oh my god, the croissant was so good. It had a filling but it wasn’t overly sweet, which I loved. I’d 100% go back and recommend anyone going to DC to stop by!"
"Really good Mediterranean place that we just found on the web. Food was very flavorful and very fresh. I got the falafel pita and the lamb hummus. Both good and the pita chips tasted like they had just been made. The atmosphere was relaxed and clean. The fired potato tots were also excellent. I ate them plain and they were still great. The double baked baklava croissant was amazing!"
"Disappointingly sweet and dry baklava croissant. Despite its promising appearance with pink pieces on top, the overall experience was overwhelmingly sweet, dry, and disappointingly basic. The croissant was dry, lacking the buttery and flaky layers that make a classic croissant so delightful. The baklava filling missed the abundance of nuts that one would appreciate in a baklava -inspired pastry, the interior seemed dominated by a sugary paste. Overall, the pastry failed to live up to its promising appearance."
"Delicious meal, attentive staff, warm uncluttered environment. Worth the hype and wait for the reservation. Inside did not feel rushed or packed. Oh, and the pizza was next level! We eat quite a bit of wood fired and value the quality of their dough, care with ingredients, and presentation. Pickled veg appetizer and sumac gin drink were fab complements to the meal."
"Finally got a chance to try this place for dinner as I've been for breakfast and lunch multiple times. Hands down one of the best pizza (not pizza) places I've ever been to, and not just in the DMV area. The dough is crispy but fluffy and doesn't get soggy, holds the toppings really well. The toppings were fresh and you could tell they're locally sourced. You can't go wrong with anything you get here, it's like dining at Albi for a third of the price. Can't wait to go back and try the other pizza options. Parking is a headache and I'd recommend you make reservations. Outdoor seating is available, first come first serve."
