"I find it hard to believe the 5 stars/one sentence reviews weren’t posted by friends/families as a favor. My friend is now disabled following a surgery he performed. Following the surgery he did not see her/assess her postoperatively. In the recovery period she started to have worsening pain. Instead of investigating the cause, the PA (Kevin) abruptly discontinued her pain meds & implied she was a drug seeker. This friend of mine is a 20+ year veteran nurse that I worked countless doubles with over the years. This is how those who spent years of their life caring for others are treated ?! After being assessed by another doctor it was found that the surgery was done incorrectly and she has since been diagnosed with CRPS (explaining the worsening pain). Additionally, we have recently discovered this surgeon has lost privileges to perform surgery at St Clair Hospital. Avoid this guy! None of the positive reviews mention a specific surgery that was performed or the outcome… additionally Dr Fluhme only replies to the positives, no apologies or explanations for those sharing their REAL experiences with him. Take it as a red flag!!!!"

"Dr. Fluhme helped diagnose my knee issue as an ACL tear. I had just started a new job at the time and wasn’t able to immediately have surgery and take the time off my new job. So a couple months go by once I have some PTO built up, I call to schedule my surgery. For over two months and probably 10 calls I have still yet to receive a call back to schedule a surgery. Then they have the audacity to send me bills from my first two visits. So they can reach out to me about getting paid but not about my surgery. So I call billing and ask, is this bill that you just sent me the reason I haven’t been scheduled a surgery because if so I fully plan on paying. They assured me that was not why I hadn’t heard back from them and that they would look into it for me. Never heard back from them again. I will be finding another surgeon now. Thanks for the medical bills I guess."

"Dr Fluhme simply stated, is the man!!! He is a awesome person and even better surgeon!!! About 10 weeks ago I had a total hip replacement and was back to work on full duty 6 weeks later!!! Would recommend him to anyone having hip or knee pain!!! Thanks Doc u gave me my life back!!!"

"Our family has been seeing Dr. Fluhme for well over 10 years. He has treated us with a tremendous amount of kindness and understanding. He spends time going over options and listens to his patients concerns. Great bedside manners and through all the different procedures and operations our family members have had, they have all been successful. I had a visit today due to a knee injury….
