"I understand this is a trauma hospital and the ER gets busy but come on 7 hrs and still waiting for somebody , anyone and please clean the ER bathroom. If you can go to a different ER"
"Waiting room is disgusting. Bathrooms disgusting. Cafeteria disgusting. Smells like old diapers in the er waiting area. Rude people. Other than the guy who wants your co-pay, of course he was nice.I'd go anywhere else if you have a choice of er."
"I would have given 0 stars if I could. My dad went in for prostate surgery. He developed sepsis and was given an antibiotic that for some reason caused him not to be able to swallow 3hrs later. After 4 days they discharged him to a SNF without a IV knowing he can’t eat or drink. After 5 days without water he was sent back to AGH where they discovered the infection moved into his kidneys causing perm damage. My dad requires dialysis now for the rest of his life. On top of that I was asked over 100x to sign a DNR and let him go. 3 weeks after getting him out of that hospital my dad is home and doing great thanks to Select Specialty hospital."
"I came in to get an EKG and the two nurses up front in the triage room were extremely rude to me. They put an iv in my arm without any gloves and rolled their eyes at me when I said I was anxious. I decided to leave early and asked them to take the iv out and they yelled at me saying that made no sense and I didn’t know what I was talking about. I asked for clarity on what they meant and I guess that annoyed the main nurse Pam so she huffed and rolled her chair away from me saying “you’re literally not listening to me I can’t right now”. They ripped the iv out of my arm so hard that the gauze that was applied after was soaked in blood. On the way out Pam told me it was silly to come in for such a simple thing and that I wasted her time. I’ve never experienced anything like this before. Go somewhere else they’re extremely hostile here and it’s not a safe environment at all."
