Located at 4401 Penn Ave, Floor 2, this facility is dedicated to providing comprehensive neurological care in a child-friendly environment.

Services Provided:

- EEG (Electroencephalogram): This non-invasive test uses small button-shaped electrodes placed on the scalp to record the brain’s electrical activity. It helps doctors understand how brain cells communicate and identify any irregularities.

- Video EEG: For more detailed monitoring, a video EEG records your child’s brain activity over a longer period while simultaneously videotaping them. This method is particularly useful for capturing intermittent issues such as seizures.

Parental Involvement:

At UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, we believe that the involvement of parents and guardians is crucial to the success of these tests. One parent or guardian is welcome to stay with the child during the EEG or Video EEG to provide comfort and support. Other family members are asked to remain in the waiting area.
