"Dr Moubarak is an AMAZING heart Doctor! Very knowledgeable, friendly and patience. I highly recommend becoming his patient!"
"not pleased at all. the day of my appt with doctor my appointment time was changed from 3pm to 1 pm. No one called to tell me this. i found out by double checking the 3 pm time and found the new appt time of 1 pm on my upmc website. leaving me 50 minutes to prepare and get there. upon arrival, i checked in at the kiosk which would not accept my or others co-payments. the front desk said yes we been having a problem with that, she tried at her desk and still no good and asked me to stop back at check out. when called for was told i shouldnt have been scheduled because doctor was in meeting. i did see physician assistant stephanie who was wonderful and should be the doctor. upon check out they finally got the co-pay transaction to work! only to have charged my credit card rwice? i waited from august thru oct. to see this specialist. yay i was assured i would see him in 6 months"
"They told my mom that they would do a video call with her today. No one ever called her. She was waiting to hear back on what she should do about being in afib. When I called them at 5:30 I was told they were gone for the day. I talked to the answering service from Hamot, she could only page the Dr on call which was not helpful or necessary. My mom really likea Dr. Mubarak, it was just a little disppointing to experience today."
"Completely disappointed. Being a cardiac patient to begin with is never a fun path to be on. Especially at the age of 33. But I was admitted to a hospital for tachycardia. After one night in the hospital, was discharged with a 30-day heart rate monitor. My PCP scheduled me for a follow-up appointment with Dr. Moubarak on January 17, 2020 to go over the results of this monitor. Upon waiting a month for my appointment, taking time off of work as well as my husband doing the same, Dr. Moubarak walked into the room and asked why I was there, had no understanding of my hospital stay, the symptoms I had been having, or the fact that I was put on a heart rate monitor. I was clearly frustrated but understood that the information had not been sent to him in regards to my monitor results. However, he clearly had not looked at my chart whatsoever prior to my visit. Do doctors not do this anymore as in look at the chart of the patient that they are going to see the next day? or that morning? And if not, why? I got a phone call from a nurse on a powertrip this morning letting me know they FINALLY got my heart rate monitor results and they are being sent to the doctor for review and that SHE would call me back with the recommendations? No...I paid a specialist fee to speak with the Dr, himself and to be able to be offered the opportunity to have follow up questions to his recommendations and have them answered."
"I was very disappointed with the final appointment we had with the doctor. My dad was prescribed 2 medicines for A-fib following a device appointment with a his P.A., a few weeks before. We had visited the doctor to explain the big fluctuations in his blood pressure. Dr. Mourbarak has no interest in listening to our concerns. Instead, he reassured my dad that he had a good strong heart. Luckily, my dad now lives with me in NC and will get the care he needs."
