"Completely disorganized, you never talk to the same person twice, and each new person fails to familiarize themselves with your chart. Therefore you’ll get called to schedule a colonoscopy a month after you’ve just had a colonoscopy. One person prescribes a pharmisutical, then a week later a second person prescribes a different pharmisutical for the same complaint, but not to be taken with the first one, but doing the same thing. They will prescribe a treatment, send you a letter that you do not require that treatment, then call and scold you for cancelling your appointment for the treatment, even through it was their office that told you to cancel. They will say that they have called you and you failed to return their call even when nowhere in your call history, or voicemail history, does their number (or anything close to it) appear. If you report symptoms or side effects that they don’t care to address, do not expect to be taken seriously, even when your description is supported by labs. If I hadn’t experienced it for myself, I would never believe that such complete disregard for acceptable standards existed within the UPMC system."
