"What does $60,000 with JG Construction get you? One would hope that it would be everything we expected – a quality roof, clean paint job, flooring that would last a lifetime, and a newly renovated house that one would be proud to show off. Instead, we experienced a living nightmare. From the naked eye, everything looks great. But soon after moving into the renovated house things were literally falling apart. Bathtub caulk was the wrong type. Sink catch basin hardware stripped and leaking. Paint used sparingly and doesn’t fully cover walls, doors, corners, or closets. Doors were improperly installed leading to gaps with cold air flowing in and others that need to be manipulated just to shut. Flooring is literally peeling up before our eyes and already had to replace the kitchen flooring. Bathroom fixtures installed incorrectly and falling out. Kitchen cabinets aren’t flush and the corners of the countertops don’t even match up leaving large creases. Vents are not sealed and pumping air into the attic, instead of out of the house. Cable drops were covered. Wires were cut, but left behind, leaving us guessing which wires are hot. The electrical job is just horrible, absolutely horrible. Finally, the roof job shows their overall incompetence as a contracting company, with large gaps between the flashing and the roof eve and they used leftover indoor paint to paint the soffits. I’m sure there are a few token contractors in this world that can be trusted with a simple job of upgrading or renovating a home. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM. Where did the $60,000 go? Not into our house! I did see JG out on his new snowmobile though…."
