"If you are coming into Yellowstone through the East Entrance, you should consider stopping here. It’s a beautiful, clear lake, with beautiful scenery, and plenty of picnic tables, trash bins, and parking. It’s very peaceful."
"It is a very pretty lake. Good for a picnic."
"This is a beautiful area. We were surprised it was still almost completely frozen over in mid May."
"It was a really good experience to stop at this site when we entered Yellowstone National Park. In June the lake was still partially covered with ice and the clear and fresh air was unbelievable. Close to our parking lot a small group of people were taking photographs of a bear close to the road. Two park rangers were taking care of the passing traffic. Would have more time to go hiking in the area. If you come from lower hotter areas the trip crossing the pass is worth to go!"
"A nice picturesque lake inside Yellowstone park. Lots of picnic tables and places to hang out, and I saw many people in kayaks out on the lake."
