"If you’re looking for a medical supply company with rude employees that make you feel you’re inconveniencing them by just having to do the job they’re hired to do, well then Coram is the one for you. Not only did they give me attitude every single phone call, they made several mistakes on their end but decided to place the blame on me, their patient. Even with proof they were the ones actually in the wrong, I was somehow always the one to blame and eventually it led to them dropping me from their care without even communicating that to myself or home health team. They now have refused to take my case any longer or for future needs, not that that’s any loss to me, but they’re unnecessarily and unfairly making things harder for me to manage care with my insurance because of their lies. Thankfully, my Case Manager with my hospital worked hard to find a new company who have already gone above and beyond in the first 2 weeks of taking over my care. The Case Management team at my hospital was not shocked that this was my experience with Coram, telling me their employees are just as rude & unhelpful to them as they are to a lot of their patients so they refuse to send their patients to Coram unless absolutely necessary. So if you have options, I highly recommend running far away from Coram."
"The dietitians are great, and I really appreciate them. Everything else has been a nightmare. I was initially sent all my supplies but never educated on how to use them. For a year, Coram continually sent the wrong supplies even though I called them every time and told them it wasn't correct and what the right item is. Renewing my prescription every year has been a nightmare. I feel like no one knows what they're doing and just keeps passing the buck. It makes being chronically ill 10x more stressful. If my medical conditions haven't taken years off my life, the stress from dealing with Coram definitely has."
"My issues aren't specific to just Murray, but Coram overall. Same experiences as other reviews. Every branch is the same. Very poor process management. You get a different answer every person you speak with. For lifelong medication management that's pretty consistent on the patient's end, it shouldn't be this hard to for Coram to manage. I have to call every month for my order. If I lived closer to another service provider, I would switch immediately. On another note, my Coram nurse is great."
"We were encouraged by the hospital to use this company while we were being discharged from the hospital. Relying on Coram has been horrible experience for the years we've needed tube feeding supplies for our child. You must call monthly to reorder supplies even if you want the same order. The wait time is literally hours. There have been multiple mistakes in our orders requiring us to call back and to have a delay in getting the supplies our child relied on. They do not provide itemized receipts unless requested which makes it difficult for insurance to reimburse the payments, and when the receipts do come it takes a long time. Families needing home health services like those Coram provides are already dealing with limited time, outrageous medical expenses, and the stress of caring for a loved one. They shouldn't have to deal with the hours spent on the phone to order supplies and the incompetent employees who have repeatedly made mistakes in our orders."
"My husband's antibiotics were late! If the planes could not take off because of wind then they should have been driven! Whe n I asked to speak to a manager I got the same person I talked to at the warehouse! I felt like they really did not care! I am still mad!"
