"Dr. Richards did a partial knee replacement surgery for me about two years ago. I went to four surgeons before Dr. Richards for consults on my knee. The other surgeons would not do the surgery I desperately needed because they were either not skilled enough to do a partial replacement (most had not even heard of it as an option, I had to do my own research based on my MRI results!) or because I was "too young" for a full knee replacement (which I didn't want anyway but would have done if it was the only option). I'm thankful Dr. Richards was experienced with this type of surgery and understood that it was a necessity for me. The surgery was a huge success! Thank you Dr. Richards!"
"I love this doctor and have several friends that go to him as well. Each of is has only great things to say. He did knew surgery on me 4 years ago when I had been told I needed a knee replaced. I haven't has an issue since he worked on it! Thank you Dr. Dan!!"
"I fell on my shoulder 2 years ago, went to Dr. Richards, have tried everything for my shoulder from injections to scoping with no success. My shoulder, he stated, was bone on bone. He stated to me the only thing left to do was an arthroplasty. When I went back ready to do the replacement, Dr. Richards stated I was too young for a total replacement, so I was scheduled for the hemiarthroplasty. My insurance would not cover the hemiarthroplasty but an arthroplasty. Dr. Richards would not change the code so I could have the replacement, so I could have relief from the pain. His nurse stated he would scope my shoulder again, but was unethical to do an arthroplasty. I guess I should thank him, cause I chose to go to another Dr, who is amazing. My new Dr. states that a hemiarthroplasty would not have benefited me, the arthroplasty is what I need. How is it ethical to keep doing procedures that do not benefit the patient, like the scoping. My feelings are Dr. Richards did not want to do what I needed so I could keep going back for useless procedures. Dr. Richards is not interested in what is best for the patient just what is best for his pocketbook."
