"WARNING. Costs $570 to apply for the apt. They keep it all even if you don't proceed beyond the application. $300 is a security deposit. WHY do they keep a security deposit for a place you don't end up renting? So glad we didn't rent there. But we lost $570."
"I don’t know where to start. The bad management or the place itself. Like someone said in the comments the only thing appealing about this place is the location. I don’t even know where to start with the living experience. I had my packages and laundry stolen, maintenance issues, my car got vandalized. Heck the apartment flooded too, all the lower floor residents had to leave and I still think why didn’t I leave at that time. They management is a different story in itself. When my lease was about to get over in april 1 my roommate and I decide to ask for a months extension so can take out time to move, which was only supposed to be till 30th of April . Guess what the previous property manager had quit and there was none at the moment so we were just stuck and finally when I get a hold of one in end of March. They did put me in month to month lease and I clearly stated I only requested for 1 month and Now they want to pay Rent for May! After which I find out I didn’t even need to apply for the month to month lease cause I already paid the rent for April."
"Over priced, very old apartments, bad management, creepy laundry room with broken into storage apartments that are MOLDING, just bad everything. By the way, if you go with the cheapest plan, prepare for summer. You get no A/C on the bottom floor apartments. Only heat is provided. So glad i DONT live here anymore!!!!!!"
"Quail Run is a great apartment - it sits on a fairly quiet street and is still close to Trax, the University of Utah, and downtown. Most of the rooms are being renovated, but even the older rooms (which we had) are nice and clean. The premises are maintained well, management is friendly and responds promptly to problems, and maintenance are professional and timely. This apartment also offers some of the best rates we've found in the Salt Lake area in relation to the quality of the rooms and building."
"The only good thing about this place is is location. My husband could walk to the U in 10 minutes to get the train downtown. This apartment is good for university students...if they have no standard of living expectations. What's wrong? 1. The Creepy Basement of Murderous Doom. The (overpriced) laundry room is down here, with only a few barelight bulbs for light. The storage units were broken into while living here, which was easy to do, because the doors were constantly propped open. 2. The "nonsmoking" patio. I put out a fire in the makeshift butt can. High school kids from East sneak over and smoke. People play basketball while smoking, and yelling, at 2 am. 3. The parking lot. In my 1 year of living there, cars were broken into 5 times. FIVE TIMES. My husband livedthere 6 years, and he couldn't even count how many. There are no security cameras, the covered spots were covered by a gappy, rusty, sagging piece of sheet metal. The dumpster was always dropped so far out, two spots were unusable. On the other side, snow plows packed snow against the fence, blocking off 2 more. 4. Too many people crammed in. Sure, college students are poor, but 6 people in a 2 bedroom? That's safe. And unbelievably loud. 5. Crappy maintenance. We had an infestation of fruit flies, that the suggested solution for was fly paper. Really? I asked for a different guy to come look, and he replaced the metal strip at the bottom of the door. They were coming from next door, a filthy tenant they did nothing about. Luckily, that fixed it. 6. The bear spray incident. Some idiot deployed a can of bear spray at 4 am, prompting evacuation. It's cheap, I'll give you that, but you get what you pay for."
