"We lived in these apartments in 2015. Always paid rent on time. Never had any issues when Chelsea was manager. We changed apartments from one on the east side to one on the west side. Before we could move into the apartment they had to fix issues with the carpet because of a flood. Well all they did was clean the carpets and didn't actually fix anthying except sending someone in to patch the existing carpet near a closet. After we moved to this apartment a new manager by the name of Lee came in. Shortly after we moved out of christopher village. We did our exit check and thought everything would be perfect. 5 years later we received contact regarding a "debt" owed to christopher village saying we damaged the walls and curtain and they had to completely replace the carpets... Something to the tune of $2400. Due to the length of time we had no proof nor could we just pay a lawer to defend us as they threatened to file a lawsuit in the letter we received. AGAIN IT WAS 5 YEARS LATER. Well we ended up paying for it... unfortunatley. If I could go back I would have taken photos of entry and exit so that I wouldn't be out a bunch of money for "damages" we didn't do, glad we could fund their "new" carpet. Now I recommend if you do stay here take a picture of everything when you move in and when you move out they'll threaten to sue you and trust me we talked about a lawyer however the fees would have been just as much as just paying them and we were just glad to get it out of our hair. Honestly I wouldn't recommend staying here at all because we've had plenty of neighbors that had the same issues. They even responded disagreeing with a review one of the neighbors left however I'm here to say they are lying and honestly if owners have changed great but from what we experienced they shouldn't be in business it's just plane predatory."
"Wish I could just leave my job more than an hour early and prevent people from paying their rent on time - wait, no I don't, cus I'm a decent human being. Ituala, the manager, is the scum of the earth, laziest person I've ever seen, loves to post eviction notices for charges that post to the account two or three days after rent and such is do (even if those charges are for 50 cents), and to tell tenants there's no way to waive charges she posts to the account. Absolutely the worst place. Maintenance guy is great, but definitely overworked because management is too cheap to hire on someone new. Don't move in here. It's not worth it."
"If I could give 0 stars I would!!! This place will rob you blind!!! Only reason I came here was because they accepted my dog. Now they want to charge $76 for “camera fees” I understand gas went up, but 8 people pay 65$ a month??? My side of the building has zero lighting, I have complained and nothing is ever done about it. They do not take care of their grounds, but will tell you how to keep your place. Residents have to remove their own snow if they want a clear walkway. Just get the house if you are thinking of moving here."
"Place is great to live in, but be careful moving out. They’ll charge you for everything even the stuff that’s covered in the lease. And they’ll wait like 4-5 months after you move out to bill you which they will already send to collections"
"If it let me rate it a 0, I would. I lived there for 3 years, moved out almost 4 months ago, and they’re still arguing with me about returning my deposit after I left the unit spotless. I had countless maintenance issues, the man in the unit across the street from me stalked me and stole my underwear from the communal laundry room, then I was the one that was told I needed to vacate if I felt uncomfortable. There’s never anybody on site to help and you feel like you’re on your own if you need anything. Just don’t even consider it."
