"The conditions in which our apartment was given to us for our move in, were far below what was expected and guaranteed from Novel. We were met with a lack of cleanliness and lots of wear throughout the majority of the apartment. There were paint spills on the floor and the flooring itself was in extremely dirty conditions. There was gunk and paint underneath the bathroom and kitchen sink and the bathroom sink smells of paint when in use. The bathroom sink also has a potential leak underneath. The kitchen sink has a white buildup that resembles mold around the drain. The refrigerator and freezer were also really dirty with leftover crumbs and stains. The walls were marked up, the doors were peeling and damaged, the light switches were really stained, the door entrance and the door knobs were also splattered with paint, dirt and stains. Warranty paperwork was stuffed in one of the cabinets. The list of unattended tasks continues. As a result my fiancé and I spent all of Saturday and Sunday deep cleaning everything that was agreed to be ready for our move in. Dave, let us know that he could have someone clean what was needed on Monday but by that point it would’ve been too late as we had everything packed and planned to move in on Saturday, as agreed. The conditions of the apartment prevented from a smooth move in, the fridge was not up to standard to store our groceries and needed cleaning immediately. The unattended cleaning took a large portion of the time we had to settle in and was really a big inconvenience for us. Additionally, the management team entered our apartment without any type of consent previous to doing so and went based of an assumption instead of getting approval for doing so and when we spoke to the higher up, Angela, she received all these concerns very unapologetically, unprofessionally, and rudely. She literally told us she could enter our apartment whenever she wanted. Additionally, when told about about a safety issue within the community, she told us to take action instead of herself establishing a plan to eliminate the issue and the potential harm it could cause its residents. Additionally, there was a promotional deal promised with starting a lease (a $250 Harmons gift card) that has not been fulfilled. The management's neglectful approach, compounded by ongoing issues, has transformed this living situation into a far cry from the promised experience. Communication with the management has been consistently subpar, with multiple emails addressing various concerns blatantly ignored, leaving me, as a resident, feeling neglected. Observing such blatant negligence in addressing legitimate resident issues is disheartening. The staff's blatant bias and unprofessional behavior, exemplified by Angela and Ronnie's loss of composure during phone calls, is utterly unacceptable. Their failure to acknowledge fault, apologize, and effectively address the issue at hand demonstrates a severe lack of accountability and respect for residents. Such conduct tarnishes the reputation of the establishment and undermines trust in its management. I strongly advise against living here. The apartments are constructed with cheap materials, resulting in constant noise from the hallway and neighboring units. It's nearly impossible to escape the disruptive sounds of loud neighbors, as management fails to enforce quiet policies and openly allows neighbors to be as loud as they want. Despite numerous complaints from residents, management seems indifferent to addressing this persistent problem, showcasing a lack of effort in maintaining a peaceful living environment. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere for a more peaceful living environment. The combination of poor construction materials, management's indifference to noise complaints, coupled with staff biases, erodes trust in the management's commitment to resident satisfaction."
