"Dr. Sloan was the OB for my first daughter and I didn't know any better than to accept her poor treatment. I was painted as hysterical for being terribly sick and when I informed her that I had multiple ER visits for dehydration and malnutrition so told me that this is just what everyone else deals with in pregnancy. My daughter has been in the 0.5% percentile since she was born (9 years ago) because I was so malnourished during her pregnancy. She will literally spend her entire life suffering the consequences of Dr. Sloan's lack of care. (In comparison my second pregnancy I used a different doctor and got a PICC line and feeding tube throughout pregnancy and she is perfectly at 50% percentile). I'm so tired of my daughter crying because she is bullied for being small, it's so unfair to her. I wish I had known better than to accept such poor care."

"The staff at Lone Peak is wonderful, but Dr. Sloan is one of the worst physician's I have been to. I have been a patient for roughly two years. I suffer from PCOS and was looking for treatment due to some unpleasant symptoms I have been experiencing. Since I am not wanting more children, she didn't see the point in exploring any treatments even though without treatment I am at a higher risk of obesity and cancer to name a few. I felt really ignored and insulted as if my only value was if I was able to produce children and I had to really push her for a treatment. I thought maybe I caught her on a bad day and still kept my following appointments with her. During my next appointment, she saw that I was now on hormone therapy to treat my PCOS and was very insulting to both myself and my other physician. She is very condescending when she has a differing opinion and it makes it very unpleasant to have a conversation with when trying to discuss treatment options, mainly because she doesn't want to discuss options. I have lost 85 lbs so far with the guidance of my other physician and have lowered my risk of various diseases. My PCOS symptoms are now under control. Finding a doctor that actual listens and partners with you in your health journey should not be as difficult as it is, but Dr. Sloan is not that doctor if that is what you are looking for. She would benefit from learning how to listen and partner with her patients in the future."
