"I thought Jeff was a nice guy and a decent counselor but they have the worst office staff. I got double booked twice and the 2nd time it happened, their excuse was your appointment is only confirmed if you get a text, im like really. Because I work night shift and over 40 hours a week. I dont have a lot of time as it is for appointments, but I certainly don't like it being wasted when their office staff can't do the most simple tasks"
"Receptionist called me on a Tuesday to ask if we could switch our appointment and come in the following day (Wednesday) at 6pm. Told her that would be fine. Dropped my son off at 5:50pm then ran a quick errand. Came back around 6:10pm and he was still sitting there. He said he had not seen a sole. Waited another 10 minutes so they are now 20 minutes late. Called them from their waiting room and had to leave a message. Knocked on the door that leads to the rooms, no answer. People were there because we were inside the building and there were cars out front. Finally left at 6:30pm. Got a phone call the next day and she acted like it was no big deal. I asked if Jeff knew he had a 6pm appointment and she told me he did, but he looked out and didn't see anybody in the waiting room. My son said he didn't see anybody nor did he hear a door open. I guess if you can't have a receptionist until you close for the day, you should not take appointments that late. SO FRUSTRATING. My son who was getting the counseling said this is an unprofessional way to run a business. I would have to agree."
"Jeff was quick to recognize the problems that needing addressing, very intuitive. There were a few intense sessions with our son but Jeff stayed with us until each session came to a satisfactory end. In spite of this, our son was always eager to go back and see Jeff. He did not drag out unnecessary weekly session, but went right to the heart of the matter. He is easy to work with and the setting is very calm and unhurried. We are very pleased with the results and will not hesitate to return, should we need help with new issues. We highly recommend Jeff."
"We took our son to see Jeff at the recommendation of a friend. Jeff listened to our concerns and actively participated in the entire session. He was easy to speak with and very honest. He gave us resources to use to help us overcome the tantrums in our home and in public. The very first week that we implemented the ideas that Jeff recommended we noticed a huge difference; not only in the child that we were concerned with, but also his older brother and younger sister. We are grateful that we had the opportunity to speak with Jeff and that he will continue to make himself available to us after our sessions. I would highly recommended Jeff for the entire family. -Jayme Porter"
"I took my 6 year old ADHD child to Mr. Lloyd for help with impulse control once his medications wore off. Behavioral therapy has been recommended by both his pediatrician and a psychiatrist. Mr. Lloyd was not helpful. I made it clear I wanted to give my son tools to help him when his brain 'got too loud'. Perhaps key words to use with his teachers in school and I needed tools to use at home to help him. I also made it clear I did not want to add another medication to his regime. His response was another medication and to 'embrace his energy'. To use positive words of encouragement and not dwell on the negative in his life. Honestly, everything he told me I either already do or have already researched. I, too, have a master's degree, am well educated, and I am completely in tune with my son. This visit was a complete disappointment not only to his profession and biography, but to my time spent."
