"This is a true animal shelter. Not just an offshoot of some public service felt like it's needed within their community but an honest to goodness community-based service. Good people doing good work with a sense of service to their animal-loving community."
"I appreciate their quick response to a concern we had about a senior dog being locked into a truck for hours at my place of employment, but next time you should try to anonymously tell the dog owner about the report. Using “lady” or “man” in your conversation with the pet owner could tip them off and cause targeted retaliation toward individuals. Keep things safe. This wasn’t ok."
"my experience was so grateful. I found a little maltes dog 4 months old, very beautiful, I brought with me to home and we are starting to make life together, he's already part of my family, they have very beautiful pets like dogs, cats and bunnies!"
"I've been debating whether or not write anything but this has to be said. We rescued a stray cat who was clearly dehydrated and not taken care of at all. We provided him with food and water and brought him here to see if he was chipped or neutered and he was not. Thankfully they were able to get him all his shots, neutering done and microchipped. So, I am grateful for that. We were first to adopt if nobody claimed him. We absolutely loved this guy from the very beginning and he immediately greeted us and was super friendly, just an all around really friendly cat. Right away, he fit right in and seemed comfortable with our home, following us everywhere. He was an amazing companion especially since I'm usually always home alone. He was always a really gentle cat and loved to just cuddle up to us. Sadly, he did not get along with our two other cats so we spent weeks focusing on training him, using pheromones, using positive reinforcement, trying everything we could to get him used to our cats. We didn't feel it was fair to have him locked up and taking turns to explore every 2 hours. As no progress was made, I tried reaching out to a few people to see if they could take in this sweet boy but no success so we had to make the hard decision to take him back to the shelter in hopes that he will find the perfect home he deserves. I noticed that just after one day his picture was removed off the website and something didn't feel right and so I called the shelter on Monday to inquire about it and see if he was finally adopted. The shelter has claimed he has gotten worse with his aggression towards other cats, they claimed to have "tried" everything they could like put him in one of the other rooms and gave him the weekend to chill out. They also claimed that he wouldn't even let them touch him so they had to make the "difficult decision". They euthanized him. After 4 days? They didn't even give him a chance. Didn't even take into consideration all that he's been through, all the stresses and change. I can't believe they just decided to kill Max after such a short time. It absolutely broke our hearts and I have been sick to my stomach ever since. I've known this shelter for several years and have given them and the animals my time and love but now I know this isn't a "shelter". Please be wary of the animals you bring here. He didn't deserve to be euthanized. He deserved a home, patience and time. We are sorry about what happened to you Max, RIP little angel."
"We love this park. Love the 3 sections. My little corgi has so much fun here, we usually stick to the small dog area - just wish they had more benches/trees!"
