Reviews of Classic Pawn
"Great place the guys are friendly and always easy to deal with."
"The man who answered the phone and before I could even finish the question abt what I wanted to try and pawn of, he kept rudely saying " Nope, No, Nope" WHILE I was trying to speak! That was honestly enough for me to never bring an item here in my LIFE. The least u can do is let someone get through their first question before u say no, and hang up."
"We have known Gary and Jack for about 13 years, they are amazing guys! Classic Pawn is an awesome place to go!"
"Here at classic pawn I guarantee as a customer you will find what you need at a good price. The guys here are AWESOME , legit and straight up. Genuine local business managed by genuine local folks... stop in say hello they likes that. And dont forget your pocketbook...Thats alwaysAlways good!!!"
"Some of these reviewers should be ashamed of themselves. I've been a pawn shop user for 25+ years in many different states. The way they operate is controlled by state law, and it's clearly stated on every pawn receipt. People that use pawn shops will know they add a great value to their community. It is primarily the public's misunderstanding of how they operate that leads to the idea that they are "bad". Pawnshops typically loan 10-20% of the value of an item. So w/ the guy's "$600 bow", any pawnshop would offer between $60-120. The first month interest is always charged fully for 30 days, regardless if you pick your item up early. The 2nd month interest is generally pro-rated if you pick up your item within that month. PAWN SHOPS DO NOT WANT YOUR ITEM! They WANT you to pick it up. Most are not as good at reselling items as they are at loaning money, so that is the reason the 10-20% of value is as good as they want to offer, and they can still use their discretion if they don't think they can easily resell your item. MOST pawn shops have items for sale that are over-priced, no doubt. But this is because they most likely loaned too much and the item fell in value, and now they're just trying to make their money back. The guy who thought the $50 fee was too much? Why didn't he just go to one of those others that he said were typically $10-20? I don't get it. Anyway, all pawnshops have the same basic business transaction. The differences for a heavy customer like myself come down to small things. Do they make you pull out all your gear (to prove it works) every damn time you come to pawn the same item? Or do they trust you since you've dealt w them before? Do they know your name after a few visits? I've gone to some pawnshops for 5 years, and they never bothered to remember my name! Classic Pawn are some genuinely nice guys. Jack and Gary are the type of guys that make Oklahoma look good. They not only know my name, they know my son and relatives, and always make a point to offer a smile and a handshake. I once accidentally left my wallet at the store, drove off with my son, and they called my within minutes to tell me they had found it! Had $250 bucks or so inside, and at that point I didn't even know it was missing! Now...does that sound like a bad pawnshop to you? People should educate themselves before they go trashing good business on here, Classic Pawn is great!!! Keep up the good work guys! Edmond appreciates you!"
