Reviews of Tower Crossing Apartments
"The office staff is absolutely amazing! So helpful! Maintenance crew is always working on keeping the property in top shape! Definitely recommend."
"Previous review was at 4 stars. Went down to 2. Cockroaches were a problem when I first moved in, WAS fixed. Maintenance is good and quick and respectful. The issue lies in the on-site services that the tenants can use such as the laundry room. Clothes were ruined, machines are always broken, I spent damn near $12 on what takes me $6, and that wasn't just once but 3 maybe 4 times that the machine broke mid wash and they dryers burned my clothes. They don't replace the machines, they replace parts, and the key fobs for the laundry always break. The FOB broke fumbling for my keys in my pocket. The mailman will also forget to close your mail box and, from what I can only assume, my neighbors mail got taken. Also the mailbox has been left open for weeks too. Other than the issues with the laundry room and lazy mailmen. Others that live here are mostly respectful and so is management. I just only wish everything was treated with the same importance. Update on the laundry room: mlMachines were "replaced" no doubt the washers were changed, but the dryers are pretty much the same. They just slapped a sticker over the card slot and changed out the lint trap, and made it so you need a phone to pay for laundry to pay via an app. The washes used to be $1.25 but after changing the washers they went up to $1.75 with the washer drum being smaller. If you're going to live here go somewhere else for laundry."
"PLEASE READ! Decent place to live other than a few things. #1.)) The “all bills paid” option seems to be a little out of date with the times and economy. it is nice only paying 1 bill a month, however the standard of electricity you are supposed to use to keep it “all bills paid” is not enough. i live in the studio apartment by myself, and so far have not had a single month where my electricity runs over at least $20-$40, and i then also have to pay an overage fee. i cook an average amount and what not, using i would say is an average amount of electricity, and keeping my place at 74 degrees. (lease says to keep it between 70-75) #2.)) It is not the best or safest area of town, and there is SO much foot traffic here, cops are usually here i would say once a week but i will give credit where it is due courtesy patrol seems to be almost always out, also i’m not letting this effect the amount of stars i gave because i knew that when i moved here. #3)). Previous residents were smokers and my apartment has always smelled a little of smoke. I know they can not control what the residents do. so it isn’t their fault, but they could have at least told me it smelled like this before i moved in. Now all of my clothes and belongings have that cigarette smell that doesn’t really go away. now, it was a failure on my end signing a lease before i moved inside of the place but i was young and this was my first apartment so i didn’t know any better. #4)). Last and most important thing is the presence of roaches. I was told when i moved in the apartment was freshly sprayed, 2nd day after I moved in there was one on my counter. it’s not INFESTED, but i would say i see some a few times a week but i think even 1 roach is unacceptable. I planned on reporting this to maintenance, but I received a note saying they were doing their routine spraying so i figured i could wait a few days until they did that. now i was gone for a few hours that it was supposed to be sprayed. when i came home from work i saw no evidence of the apartment being sprayed. (smell of chemicals, or wet substance along baseboards.) now i’m not saying they 100 percent didn’t spray because i was gone a few hours of the day, but i am saying if they did spray it was a very bad job, as i still see roaches. roaches are disgusting, and i do not ever leave a dish in the sink, food out, or let the trash pile up. it is solely because of this that i will not renew my lease, i can live with the overage fee every month, and i can live with the awful stench of cigarettes. but an unhealthy and gross environment i can not. the one thing i will say is maintenance is amazing, (other than the roaches of course) maintenance requests i have put in i have always been contacted back within a couple of hours. after talking with neighbors and reading other reviews it seems like the cockroaches have been an ongoing problem, so i have no hopes that things will get better. it is my advice that even if this is all you can afford, do not cheap out and live here. would honestly be renewing my lease if it was not for the roaches, as it’s not a bad looking place."
"New resident here; so far this apartment complex has been great! Selena and Wendy in the office have been very prompt with answering questions and helping handle maintenance requests. The apartments themselves are quite nice. There are some aged components and things that need very minor cosmetic repairs, but that doesn’t affect the quality of the apartment as a living space at all. The all utilities paid option is fantastic for me personally, because it lets me have a consistent utility bill month to month - important if you are doing detailed budget tracking! Overall a very well put together apartment complex for a first time renter. Not perfect (no complex is) but the staff are always pushing to make it better over time!"
